Keep racoons away from feral's food

Relocating racoons can only ever be a temporary fix. You will only get more moving into the territory to fill the void. We have to work with the wildlife and not eliminate it. We all care about our feral population and I’m out several times to shout a racoon off. Like most people here I agree...

    Fancy Feast Problems

I’m not convinced that it’s unsafe. Well no more unsafe than it ever has been. The problem is that they have changed the formula and it smells different. Most won’t even taste it. Purina have made the mistake of trying to make improvements (actually probably trying to save money) instead of...

    Feliway And Amazon.

There is stuff like a hummingbird feeder that I was refunded this week. Most it can do is leak. However recalled cat food! Could kill your pet! Unbelievable.

    Feliway And Amazon.

Just thought I’d share this little tidbit about Feliway and Amazon. My confidence in Amazon shopping has been shattered when I recently found out that the site is awash with counterfeit goods. The number of huge claims against Amazon is increasing by the day. Myself, I recently found that a...

Has Anyone Else's Cat Stopped Liking Fancy Feast Canned Food?

Purina wereatfirst denying any formula change. However, I work on the basis that my cat knows best. So I tried her on different best before dates. Those she would eat were the old formula, tnose she would not were the new. Turns out she was spot on. Purina then admitted the formula change, but...

Has Anyone Else's Cat Stopped Liking Fancy Feast Canned Food?

I’m thinking so. Try her on an older can if you can get it. If she eats it, then that proves it.

Has Anyone Else's Cat Stopped Liking Fancy Feast Canned Food?

The formula change is for cans with a best before date of around August 2019. Luckily my cat won’t eat it, so hasn’t been ill. The can label now reflects the formula change. I have been everywhere and bought all the older cans I can find. Sadly Purina won’t listen, because they need to review...

Possible Options To Take The Place Of Fancy Feast On The Plate

We are so much more limited here in Canada as to the variety we can get. Prices higher usually too. I’ve no idea why. Obviously to do with sales and profit.

That’s what I get for living in the far corner of the universe :(

Possible Options To Take The Place Of Fancy Feast On The Plate

According to the Purina site, these feeds are only available in the USA. So typical. Thank you anyway Furballsmom :)

    Fancy Feast Problems

I will call you paranoid, but then you can join the club. Me too! This sort of think makes you that way. It’s truly horrifying what goes on in the pet food trade. Sadly a huge corporation like Nestle can get away with pretty much anything.

    Fancy Feast Problems

Researching across the internet, it appears that this issue may relate to more than Fancy Feast. People are reporting problems with all Purina Canned food with 2019 and 2020 Best before dates. I really feel there may be another big problem waiting to happen.

I think I might have done also! Duh! Thanks @lisahe it should be 2019.

    Fancy Feast Problems

Thank you. I have narrowed the change down to within a month. She will eat March 1999 best before date, but nothing after. I managed to get her to eat a couple of older tins of Tuna FF (albeit reluctantly) and the same thing happens. I had January 1999, which she ate, but refused October 1999...

    Fancy Feast Problems

There is evidence to suggest that the use of probiotics is more harmful than good. Just typical and another example of the scientific community constantly moving the goal posts. I will look up bonito flakes as I’ve no idea what they are or where to get them. No Asian markets here :(
