Flakes might have cancer - I'm scared and I'm angry

Buprenorphine can be compounded into a transdermal gel that is applied in the inside of the ear. Much easier than this "cheek pocket" business when your cat's had about enough of medicines.

Idiopathic Vestibular Disease vs. Brain Tumor

Ask your vet again about an inner ear infection. Seems to me if the doc could have seen past the eardrum, we wouldn't have needed an MRI. You may also want to see if there is a neurologist you can consult with if you're not already.

Idiopathic Vestibular Disease vs. Brain Tumor

If it’s not about cost, then I’d get the MRI so you’re not forever questioning or doubting whether you chose the right path for him.

    Chewing

Mine did that at 2 years old when she first came home with me. She grew out of it. I wish I could tell you how long that took but that was 14 years ago. You might be able to use Bitter Apple spray on those cords and plugs she has been chewing on. But it will probably be more effective to...

Idiopathic Vestibular Disease vs. Brain Tumor

My Krista had similar symptoms. I got her the MRI and it came back inner ear infection. Better than a brain tumor. But it still required surgery. I wasn't going to refuse her surgery. The other option was pill and pray with antibiotics with possible complications of the infection ruptures her...

    Featured Stray vs Indoor-Outdoor Behavior

Update from the other thread. OC has been picked up by a neighbor. I guess they are keeping him. (Status: Rehomed.)

    Caring for an Orange Cat

AOC is in the apartment community next door. Different gated community. I trespassed looking for OC. I’m not getting involved in AOC. Neighbor won’t be getting involved in AOC. Neighbor doesn’t live in that community either.

    Caring for an Orange Cat

Best guess is the encounter I saw on Sat was neighbor indeed picking up OC and taking him to vet for a chip scan. Neighbor must have also got him a collar and tag per video from the other night. Neighbor must have decided to keep him and change his status from found to rehomed. Which is not the...

    Caring for an Orange Cat

🤷‍♂️ It seems a neighbor picked up OC, put a collar and tag on him, and has listed him as “rehomed” after he was listed as “found.” Seeing as they chose to rehome a previously abandoned or otherwise stray cat, I’m trusting they know what they’re getting into. If he’s marking, certainly they...

    Caring for an Orange Cat

Well, there we go! I’m going to miss this boisterous butterball. But hopefully “this pet” 😹 has a good home now. And maybe he’ll come around for a visit now and then. 🤞

    Caring for an Orange Cat

Another neighbor picked him up and posted to Pawboost. I’m inclined to leave it and let my neighbor handle him now. I’ll keep putting food in the feeder on my deck if he’s coming around to eat it. Maybe I’ll see him on my camera now and again.

    Caring for an Orange Cat

Mystery solved. Sort of. A neighbor picked him up and posted to Pawboost. I’ll contact the person on Pawboost and find out whether she’s planning to take him down to shelter or what.
