Your cat needs to see a vet asap. For her to do a drastic turnaround like that is not normal, and at her age could possibly lead to death. There could be a number of things causing what's going on - a vet should be the one to diagnose it, though.

All of our cats scatter. However, my sister's cat is now living with us temporarily and I have to pick her up and move her to vacuum where she is sitting. She doesn't care at all.

We were able to tell with ours - they shaved their bellies and you could see the scar. Sometimes it's harder to tell, though.
