This is according to two well known food advisor in Sweden. One of them helped me with my allergic cat and did all the math for her diet. So I consider them both very trustworthy and reliable.

My cat is allergic to fish..... so I add iodine to make sure that she get at least the minimum level. 

I feed raw, and I only add iodine (algae). My cat eats whole bones, where many important minerals are. I add egg yolk as well.

A healthy hunger (I feed twice a day) and some of the favorite food sprinkled over the new food makes wonders!  A small victory with one of them though!
