    Feeling so frustrated and discouraged...

I have two feral wobbly cats, they were trapped at about 3 months.  They have lived with me for almost three years and about half the time when I walk into the room they bolt like they are on fire, I have assumed that this is a fact of life for all of us and is not likely to change.  They don't...

    My cat has cancer.

Having been there the best I can tell you is to set up a time for the vet to come to your home if possible, give a favourite meal and keep it as stress free for your fur person as possible.  You can't explain why you are doing surgery, and in the end it doesn't really fix anything, it just makes...

My stray cats are sick. What can I do to help?

You are doing the right thing.  Spaying/neutering even if the cats stay outside is the best thing for everyone.  I am sure that you will be able to "home" all your strays given a little time.  I had some financial assistance from a cat organization and reduced vet costs so Shadow got everything...

My stray cats are sick. What can I do to help?

I had a small black male show up last year, skin & bones, about six months old and maybe 5 pounds,  I fed him for a week borrowed a trap and gradually moved the food closer to the trap, then I wired the trap open for another week and fed him inside the trap moving the food dish in further...

4 month old blind kitten who wont eat or her own

Lucky little cat to find you.  I adopted a stray from a shelter, she had stopped eating anything (maybe 4 months old), took her to the vet and the vet said she was going to die and I said she wasn't!  I force fed her with a syringe for about eight weeks and she went from 3.5 pounds to a...

Things are going well . . . but having litter box issues

I use an enzyme cleaner specifically for cat smells so there isn't a smell I am aware of and it supposedly eliminates her smell as well, if the box is a bit stinky you can spray a little on the litter and it neutralizes the odors.  I clean both bins every two weeks just because I like...

Things are going well . . . but having litter box issues

I have two large bins that I bought at Walmart, it doesn't seem to matter where the boxes are as she goes right over to them and then poops next to them, she actually will get it as close to the box as she can so I am wondering if she just thinks its part of the box if its close.  I am really...

Things are going well . . . but having litter box issues

What is cat attract litter?  I use a litter which is biodegradable and has no smell.  She doesn't seem to be bothered by the texture, after I clean up I then use Nature's Miracle enzyme spray to eliminate any smells.

Update on a super picky cat :)

Glad it's working.  It took me 4 years to get Mimi to eat wet food, thankfully she has found her inner carnivore.  One of the brands you can get in Canada in is called "Pride" all three cats love it.  Rabbit, pork, lamb, chicken, beef and many fish varieties.  Rabbit is the hands down favourite...

Things are going well . . . but having litter box issues

Happy to report that the Diva cat has found her inner carnivore, is quite happily eating rabbit, lamb and the occasional piece of raw chicken, hopefully this will eliminate any future crystal build ups.  So, now for Nefra, she is one of a feral pair I adopted, both wobblers, very shy but...

Comment by 'catdancing1' in article 'How To Safely Bathe A Cat: The Complete Guide'

I have two wobblers and occasionally a bath is required as their are litter box incidents - usually they have fallen into whatever they left in the box - so first cat is totally freaked out and then well, you know the rest.  Have found using a small tub (like a litter box) so that they can have...

    Converting to Wet/Raw

Well it's not going well.  I have cut back all three cats to 1 level tablespoon of kibble twice a day, served on a plate together with a portion of wet food.  Two of them (most of the time) eat all around the wet food and fish out the kibble if it happens to touch the wet food then walk away.  I...

The Diva and the other two Diva's in Waiting

AAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH.  The transition is not going well . . . Mimi won't eat the fancy feast, Raffles eats some and licks of the gravy, Nefra eats everything and then some.  Will finish carton of fancy feast and am going to break down and by some SD kibble, if that doesn't turn everyone off I...

The Diva and the other two Diva's in Waiting

Well, it worked yesterday . . . opened another can of a premium brand today and it was pretty obvious NO ONE was going to eat it, will give to the neighbour.  Cleaned off the plates and opened something else.  Am going to buy Friskies on my way home today!
