    2-3 DAYS refusing to eat

Correct. Nothing. She does this on and off every 2 weeks or so. Switching to the hypoallergenic food and cooked chicken it went down to 24 hours at most not eating the last month so I thought she was improving and the new food was helping but needed more time but now she’s on day 2 no food so I...

Any ideas to get cat to eat

My cat is doing the same thing!! She’s feral had her about 9 months now and she goes 2-3 days not eating any food. Then she goes back to normal then goes another 2-3 days. Her blood is normal they thought possibly an intolerance to her food but the hypoallergenic food hasn’t helped.

    2-3 DAYS refusing to eat

I got a feral cat from outside about 8-9 months ago. Believe she’s young probably under a year when we found her. It wasn’t possible to get her to the vet for a while as there was no possible way of touching or catching her. She started throwing up Daily and eventually had to go to the vet she...

    Self Inflicting Wounds

They talked about doing a skin scraping but said she’s doing it to herself and didn’t say anymore about the scraping. I only used the neosporin the first time since the second time there were only like 3 very small spots. I’ve been using those calming drops but I put it in food (the sores...

    Self Inflicting Wounds

No aerosols, candles or air fresheners and definitely no smoke. Could the rash come and go if she’s constantly exposed to the same allergen? If she’s always exposed I would think she’d always have the rash. That’s why I didn’t think allergies.

    Self Inflicting Wounds

Her ears have been checked. Her environment stays the exact same. I’ve thought maybe allergy too but I don’t see what it could be. Especially since the sores come and go. Is there anything you know of that cats are commonly allergic to?

    Self Inflicting Wounds

Yeah she they got this bad a week after her first vet visit. She had to get rabies shot and dewormed when I got her. I’m not sure if the shot to stop scratching helped or if she just wasn’t as stressed and stopped scratching on her own. She’s not outside at all I keep her inside. I’m not sure...

    Self Inflicting Wounds

My cat is semi feral I got her about 3-4 months ago outside. A few weeks after having her these sores popped up on her head. (picture posted when it was at her worst). 2 vets both believe it’s self inflicted wounds and suggest trying to put Neosporin on it and gave her a shot to stop scratching...

Cat Biting But Not Applying Pressure?

My vet was super shocked with how much progress I had made with her. They were dreading her coming in and literally said they didn’t want to come to work today when they saw she was on the list but we shocked with how well she did. I’ve spent hours and everyday just sitting in rooms with her...

Cat Biting But Not Applying Pressure?

We don’t know how old she is. On the younger side I think but the vet hasn’t been able to do a full exam on her. She gets upset at the vet and they tried to get the more important things like shots and treatment done for anything she had when she was outside done and by the end of that she’d be...

Cat Biting But Not Applying Pressure?

so I got a cat from outside about 2-3 months ago semi feral is the best way to describe her. She sounds pretty aggressive she hisses all the time but she’s never tried to bite in an aggressive way and has only ever scratched once. She’s started this weird thing where when I pet her and she’s...

Hima Threw Up And I Think It’s Because Of Dinner. Is This Vomit Concerning?

If she’s an outside cat then maybe you should get her checked cause you don’t know what she may have gotten into. We found my cat outside and when we brought her in she was throwing up everywhere she had worms and I know parasites can cause vomiting too.

Getting My Feral To The Vet... Not Sure Who’s More Traumatized Me Or Her

She does do better with calming drops and we use calming music too hopefully the combination of everything will make it a little easier to catch her next week

Getting My Feral To The Vet... Not Sure Who’s More Traumatized Me Or Her

That’s how my cat is she literally tried climbing walls when we tried to catch her. She seems to avoid the areas where we’ve tried to catch her for a very long time so I know it’s pretty traumatic for her
