Looking for support/ adopted semi-feral cat

Need help! Trying to determine if the feral/semi-feral cat under my patio could/should be a house cat?

Yup. Getting them in can take time though. Took me weeks "negotiating" with Bug to finally get him in. Slowly moving his food closer and closer every day or 2, little by little. Eventually to the vet for neuter and shots. Allow plenty of time, don't get frustrated.

    meet Buggy

Great to hear from y'all! For those who may not be aware, @tabbytom consistently advised me through the whole process of getting Bug indoors, back then a nasty, violent, wandering SOB. And during domestication too. Definitely a rough, trying process, I'm far from experienced in feral...

brought in friendly feral - she's regressed

great to read her socialization! Thinking back, Bug took forever to come out from retreat, was it 8-9 weeks(?) after being brought inside, vetted and "fixed" which understandably turns their world upside down. 3 years in now, reaching "middle age"... he's safe and comfortable, the leader of...

Trying to figure out if this cat is feral or not

@QueenofWinter you're getting good solid advise from TCS here. @tabbytom advised me throughout my 6 month ordeal with Bug and continues to advise me still! Anyways...I'm far from expert but can tell you great PATIENCE required on your part. There will be disappointments and setbacks along the...

Wow, some beautiful kitties, young and old, in this thread. I'll keep my offering brief. Princess a tiny stray being fed out back near garage while progressively lured to the house May of '17? A relatively skinny Bug being fed on back deck, October '16. Took till Jan 9 '17 to finally...

both Bug and Princess arrived via our adjoining woods, though 6 months apart....we suspect they are related, if not from the same litter. They bonded instantly.

    meet Worm

As I posted earlier, we lost an older guy awhile back, have the capacity and always wanted a tuxedo. As I took in Bug and Princess as older strays (and missed out on their young, fun kitten days) also wanted a young 'un. Adopting Worm (now renamed Beto) from a town shelter met HIS obvious needs...

Thanks @tabbytom ! I'll get some of this KMR milk replacer soon as I can. As usual, I'm always appreciative of your knowledge and suggestions!

    meet Worm

Due to family pressure, Worm has been renamed Beto. He's fit in fully, and is being schooled, if you will, by the older Linus....being shown the run of 2 floors of the house (cellar still off limits). After the usual visual confrontations, occasional snarling and sniff tests, setting their...

    meet Worm

and food! Consistent. We're consciously working on his weight, skinny little bugger. Update....he's already gaining run of the house, under both human and feline supervision, of course. He's kind of bonded to one of the younger, full grown guys who is showing him around, they're playing hide...

    meet Worm

Saw his adoption advert from a town shelter (not my town but nearby), filled out an online application, and I was there the next morning a few minutes after opening, fully intending to be first in line! Met him, held him, my application was accepted by their administration! Paid a reasonable...
