    Opinion on B12 brands

Thanks! Well to be honest, there's a few reasons. To have her see both cats once a month and get B12 shots would be around $250. I also can't obtain the B12 to administer myself. Lastly, the IBD cat also has IMHA so she gets bloodwork pretty often and hates needles lol. So I was talking with the...

    Opinion on B12 brands

Hi all! So, I wanted to get thoughts on a few different B12 supplements. For the past year, I've been giving Zobaline to both my anemic/IBD kitty and my diabetic kitty. However in talking with the vet, she mentioned less expensive formulas. The one she mentioned was Nutramax Cobalequin. I know...

    Possible anemia-Desperately needing support

Haha, I gave her some pets from all of you! Hang in there, glad Tosie is eating. Sadie lost almost three pounds from her anemia, I felt so bad we never noticed. It just happened so fast. She put her princess weight back on, so I'm sure Tosie will as well. ❤️

    Cat Pooping Outside of Litterbox

Yeah, our vet did take a fecal sample to be sure there wasn't anything else going on, along with a blood work up. She mentioned some of the sample was very hard and dry (she said it crumbled like dirt?! Ew lol) and there were some red blood deposits which indicated he was really straining. He's...

    Cat Pooping Outside of Litterbox

Hi there! I'm just curious, how old is your kitty? I only ask as I found out my older cat Casper (16) started having problems with constipation - he would dig around in the litter box, try to poop, run away after trying, and then I would find hard poop in the dining room. After changing up his...

    Possible anemia-Desperately needing support

HOORAY!!! I'm so happy to hear Tosie is on the upswing. It sounds to me like she is on the right track. It will still take some time for her to be in normal ranges (usually around 40%) but this is BIG progress!! ❤️ She's tired because her cells are working OT lol, but it's worth it.

Tearing up, this is wonderful to see. Yeah she may be on a high steroid dose for a bit, but I really believe it will help!

Missing nail for a month now

If it eases your mind any, my girl Sadie lost a nail about two years back. She caught on something, and chewed it off! It looked gnarly for about three months but eventually grew back. Still worth checking with the vet; I sent pictures to my vet every week to make sure it wasn't getting...

    Possible anemia-Desperately needing support

Aw, I'm sorry Tosie is having a hard time eating. Sounds like she's so hungry that she forgets to chew, poor baby girl! From my experience with Sadie, she slept A LOT for the first few months while her body recovered and started generating RBCs again. She was on antibiotics, steroids, Cerenia...
