My heart hurts badly when I see a cat in such agony. I to took in a stray that had been badly mauled and was cut up so badly he couldn't even stand to wee. Most of his front teeth were missing and I assumed he'd been hit by a car. Imagion my hurt when I was told three teenage louts had boxed him in a corner then turned three dogs onto him. He recovered but ever after had recurring nightmares and would throw himself off anything to escape those dogs.He lived out his senior years with us and died peacefully in his sleep.
If I ever found out who did that, they would "disappear" and no one would suspect a 71-year-old of being involved in their disappearance. Since I don't know who they are I will have to leave their fate to The Cat Goddess.
BTW Grey Boy is just fine now, although he cannot walk for long periods of time because there is no solid bone in one of the legs. He doesn't appear to have any left over nightmares or any pain. I think being brought into a household with lots of other cats has helped him considerably. Just this June he first began letting me pet him, scratch his back and rub his ears, but only if my other neutered male, Bigfoot, is right next to him getting the same attention. Still, this is a cat being touched with affection for the first time in his 6 years of life, and PURRING.
