It’s not super soft to work with, which I think is normal with crepe yarns, but it softens nicely after a soak (it’s pure merino). It looks so soft! I bet the cats have a hard time resisting it!
As for resisting, they don’t even try …

Long time no see.
I just have been going through several threads hoping to catch up on at least some of what I have missed these last months.
For those who remember: Things are not better with my daughter. I do not the energy to go into all of it, bit Hobbit is still with us. She still rarely sees him. We are still arguing. For a few days, I thought that what she has done to our relationship had finally started to sink into her head. I was wrong.
Hobbit turned three last month.
My last gallery show went well. I did not sell as much as I had hoped, but I did get a lot of good feedback.
I put in a submission to name the color of the clay I dug up in my son's yard. I cannot recall the hex code at the moment, but I am hoping someday that hex code will be associated with "Van Tassel Orange" after the "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." A friend and I came up with it. I have another show coming up in March. This one will be primarily pottery, including the chess set I made. (Still figuring out a board.)

We, like so many others, were hit by that nasty Christmas storm. We have had a momma cat and three older (9-month-old) kittens living on our porch. The boys, Percival, Galahad, and Lancelot, have been fixed, but we have not been able to trap the momma. Well, she apparently had a surprise--and hidden--tiny litter of kittens. On Christmas Eve, in high winds and subzero temperatures, I saw a fuzzball on my porch.
My neighbor's daughter's went under my porch. Out ran a second fuzzball. They were able to catch the first, but the second was gone. We search all night and through the next day whenever we had a chance. To our luck, fuzzball two returned!
My neighbor's second oldest daughter is now the mother to brothers Zero (grey and white) and Zephyr.

Aw! That is so sweet! Thank you. This is so random, as we never exactly talked much. But I thought of you yesterday when I watched a documentary on the history/evolution of witches...ALL positive!!! I know you observe Pegan beliefs and traditions...although I'm not completely sure if you are a witch or not....again...I say this with respect. After you popped into my head, I then thought to myself....I haven't seen her name pop up much lately...hope she's good...
Anyway, I hope things get better for you Elphaba09 , even random weirdos like me, with no significant reason to, think of you and wish you well. Your spirit does make an impact and reaches further than you may think.
He is safe and happy. I know! Three! And you are working on a new human!? Congratulations!I'm sorry to hear things aren't better with your daughter and grateful to hear Hobbit is still safe with you. I can't believe he's already three!
Your artwork never fails to impress me. That chess set is amazing! I'm in awe people can actually make stuff like that by hand.
I am! And in the home stretch. We'll see if I'm able to handle two tiny humans. He is safe and happy. I know! Three! And you are working on a new human!? Congratulations!
Like out of your mind? I usually try to distract myself with something else I can really concentrate on. I may have to do it multiple times over several days to get rid of it if it's something that scared me, for example.how do you get rid of something that you had seen in a movie ? i need some encouragement here
Yeah, do something you have to fully concentrate on where your mind can't wander. If I'm scared about something I saw, somtimes it helps me to tell myself that I'm safe right now. Like if I'm trying to sleep I'll just keep thinking "I'm safe, my husband's safe, J is safe" etc.Lari yes like out of my mind ...i scare very easy and im feeling very uneasy
Fingers crossed on the mattress!Brrr! Time to curl up with as many furbabies as possible!
I’mfinally getting my Christmas tree down. I had a whole plan for getting it done but one kid conveniently had a stomach ache and got sick… Its just taking longer than necessary.
Tuesday we are having a new back door installed and I need to have everything within 3-6’ cleared away. That means packing the school corner away and moving big furniture. I’m also getting another mattress delivered Tuesday so I can’t just put anything in the hallway.
