How Lila, when shut in the sun room, will drag out every single toy in her little toy basket. Tonights count was 5 catnip mice, all 3 pickles, 2 balls, and a stuffed cat. She just spreads them all over the room then lays on her tree looking proud.

Betty is such a glutton. When she wants loving fuss, she also wants to rub her face and scent mark her surroundings. Sometimes she gets so caught up in it, she forgets that she walked away from the rubs and scritches she was getting from me. I know better though. I just have to wait a moment or two when she realizes she’s getting less stimulation and comes back to me. 😹😻😽

For the first time in 20 years, I painted my nails. When they were drying Lila chose that moment to not jump, but climb (claws out and all) up my leg and into my lap. It's like she knew I wouldn't grab onto her and risk scuffing them and getting hair stuck in the polish.
Nails look fine, legs look like I was in a bar fight and lost.

…how the “happy spot” keeps moving & keeps you on your toes. For example, a nice shoulder blade scritch can be too much and you sense -if you’re paying attention- when it’s time to move on to, say, the ears. ..If you don’t, at least w/ my kitty, you might get a little nip.

Betty loves all touch! Except nail trimming. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Chin, chest, belly, booty, she loves it all! The only bad touch with Betty is the one that ends too soon. I don’t think she’s ever swatted at me. And I’m more likely to get a little nip if I stop too soon than if I go too long. I don’t know if there’s such a thing with her. 🤷🏼‍♂️😻😽🥰

I love how Lulu is a little brat and likes to steal things and run away with them. Ash lies on my chest in the morning waiting for me to wake up...then if I don't notice him right away, he gently touches my face with his paw. :catlove:

I love how they understand English perfectly. Phoebe was sitting on the coffee table shoving Mum’s medicine box around, rubbing her face on it and rattling everything. Daisy was sitting on the floor behind her, wondering what she was up to. I said “She’s not getting anything to eat, she’s just being a pest,” and Daisy went off to eat her own dinner!

Another Daisy moment! She had her Cisapride at 7am and by 8.30 was up on the kitchen bench wanting her Special Drink aka Osmolax. No, I said, it’s a bit early and besides I would like to have my breakfast. By 9am that was finished and I’d mixed the Osmolax in its spoon. I brought it into the bedroom, she looked up from where she was loafing on the bed looking out the door, jumped up and ran over to drink it!

I love that even on sniff and snub mornings, Betty always shows up for her meds. She will willingly take as many capsules as I put down for her as long as I twist them in a little bit of Hills A/D. Even on sniff and snub mornings, I can get her to eat a little if I place a morsel or three on the carpet in front of her. She will finally be getting a dental exam to see if there is a dental reason why she may eat from the carpet when she refuses the plate. 😬

Are they tablets she can eat, as in chew? I couldn’t do that with Daisy, hers are capsules and the vet warned that Cisapride is bitter, so it needs to be poked straight down her throat - which fortunately she’s good about.

Capsules. Whatever didn't originally come in a capsule (prednisilone and ondansetron), I repack those into gelatin capsules so she never has to taste her meds. Sunday mornings I spend about 20 minutes or so chopping up her pred and ond and making up the capsules for the week.

I think she pretty much has figured out how to take a capsule without biting into it now because at least one of those capsules literally tastes like 💩. Because it is! AnimalBiome's Gut Restore Supplement is dried cat poop from carefully screened healthy donors. I saw her face once when she bit into it. 🤢😾I have not seen that face again.😹👍

I'm the weird one at the vet office asking for pills when they offer a liquid.

Interesting!

I keep Daisy’s pill bottle on my bedside table. She sleeps on my bed and that way as soon as I wake up I can just pill her and if I’m very lucky go back to sleep. If I had to get up to put something on the pill that’d be it, they’d both be demanding breakfast. 😺😺
