Went to a salt cave mom's night out last night, and left J at home with my husband watching 'Elmo'. It felt so nice to relax and just be me and not mommy.
I bet it felt wondaful getting out and whereabouts is this salt cave?

I pilled Mooch with a pill popper by myself. Thats a positive because she was so difficult about that when she was younger! And no one is here to hold her. I give her meds in treats or pill pockets normally but she’s not got an appetite back yet so we had to go the pill popper route. Such a relief she got it down. (She’s mad at me though.)

I went to visit my sister out East and had a wonderful time. The leaves were changing colors and the scenery was splendid. 🍁🍂🍃 There are numerous hiking trails in her area so we took a different hike every day. We talked for hours, laughed and reminisced about our childhood. It was a fabulous trip!

im starting to feel a little bit lighter since i started my diet .. eating smaller portions and snacking on veggies through out the day
When I was first diagnosed and had to cut out sugar, one of the treats that really helped me through was sugar free jello. Tastes just like the regular and helped with my sweet tooth.

Mooch is on the couch with me for the first time in a week after getting sick. Her coat is back to shiny and she’s got a lot of her strength back. :redheartpump:

I also got rid of an entire bag of trash from DS’s room. He’s always loved raccoons and I’m starting to think he identifies with the Trash Panda name too. He doesn’t like getting rid of things and I think he getsoverwhelmed. Its not finished; but we got a lotdone today!

I was able to help DH finish repairing the framing and trim around our garage door today. We had hired a contractor to do it and the guy was a no-show. So DH did it with the help of a knowledgeable friend. He can’t physically do that work but he guided DH through it. And today he and I managed to get all the siding back up after finishing the trim and weather stripping. It looks much better. My dad almost had to come from 7 hours away to help.
That's definitely positive! I'm glad she's feeling better and keeping you company on the couch. :lovecat2:
I missed her so much! That’s been our special time together most days for 17 years! She spent a lot of time with DS on the couch today too. He was so happy! :redheartpump:

awwwww....sweet Mooch so glad he is better💞👍

Getting the Omicron and flu vaccines today. I'll feel safer as there has been an increase of cases in my county where a lot of people do not know the meaning of the word vax, mask or 6 feet.

Robbie is becoming so sweet. He waits at the slider for me in the morning and talks. I wish he would let me pick him up and kiss him all over.

where has Elphaba09 Elphaba09 been?

Robbie has taken over the ottoman I have on the deck..sweet boy. he and Daniella are hanging out together and I am pleased. They need each other. A ginger boy and a tuxedo girl, lovely.

Had the Omicron and flu jabs on Sunday. I do not recommend having them in the same arm , ha!! I feel safe now. I wore a mask in the store and wiped down my cart and noticed people staring at me. I saw no one with a mask except for the pharmacy staff. I then noticed an unmarked woman with a young child in the cart and she was picking her nose. I am staying masked up and will continue
cart cleaning, ha!!!

Chilly now but will warm up and be sunny!! :yess: ☀🌅🍁😎🕶

I found the wooden barn my grandpa made for me for a school project I did in 6th grade. :redheartpump: He loved woodworking and made cradles and dollhouses for all 3 granddaughters and countless other things; like my curio cabinet. So the barn is cute and sentimental too.

I’d been thinking about it but my mom couldn’t find the trunk it was in at her house. I stared getting a little nervous that one of my step siblings had mistaken it for theirs because my first house was too small to bring it after I got married.

DH and DS helped empty the attic there the other day and it was up there full of treasures. My bestie was actually there getting some old military jackets for my godson and a picture of us at 13/14 was still taped to the inside of the lid.

Mom had asked me to care for my grandparents remains since she will be moving. If the barn was a couple inches taller and wider the urns would actually fit inside. Since they don’t I’m just planning to use the barn to make just a less obvious memorial of sorts I guess. I’m just glad to have it back.:redheartpump:

I am on Day 2 of intermittent fasting and it's almost 10:30am which means I finally get to eat something. I thought yesterday was tough being up at 2:30am and not eating until 10:30am but today seems worse... and I've been busy as heck all morning. Time is going sooo slow today.
