It's hard to believe that it has been almost a year since we lost Burdock. For the longest time, Bashful was inconsolable, but ever so slowly she has been coming around, to the point where now she curls up with me at night. Miss Eleanor, however, is not amused, as she had claimed exclusivity on that count, so now I have one on each side of me, but never both on the same side. It makes things rather awkward when I have to get up in the middle of the night, though.

 Thst is the story of my life. My ferals probably think I am too slow opening all the cans of cat food for them

Glad you are feeling a little better. You should be good as new in no time. 🙂

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote Your brother and his family should probably consider moving outside Manilla closer to you. That is alot of Typhoons thst hits the Phillipines each year.. I glad once again that all your family is safe. What a relief it must be.
Jcatbird Jcatbird and othe TSC members (and their family members) who may effected by this hurricane-you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hunker down and stay safe. I pray that this hurricane passes quickly and doesn't cause much damage in your area. Hang in there. :heartshape:

I will try to keep in touch. I may be ordered to “be the boat”! Lol Captain Banjo is in charge
Wow, Banjo not only has her license to drive a bus but she's also the captain of a boat. I hope she can swim.
Yes, please keep in touch if at all possible. We are thinking of you and all the cats you so graciously help. :catlove:

P.S. I have two college buddies who live on the west coast of Florida. We were in touch this morning and both said they could not make it out in time. :nervous:

Today's the last day of September, so also the last day of HAPPY CAT MONTH. But I know the cats here at TCS, particularly this thread, and definitely the cats at Chez Catbird, recognize every month as happy cat month. So that means today is really just the last day of September, because every day is a happy day for the many cats under our roofs and under our care. On behalf of all the cats, I'll say thank you for making us happy.

And to everyone affected by Hurricane Ian, sending good thoughts your way. Hope any damage is minimal, and and power outages are short. :redheartpump:

Internet went out Thursday evening here, and did not come back up until 5 AM Friday morning. Beats me as to why. We have NOT gotten any severe weather, just steady rain and some mildish gusts of wind. I'm guessing, and it is just a guess, that the sysems going down in Florida may have caused some overload issues??? Does anyone know if that's a thing?

At any rate, I'm back online FINALLY! Doesn't figure that the internet would go out during the hours when I do most of my online stuff?

I spoke to Spawn 1 yesterday evening. They are in St. Petersburg. He, Mrs. S 1, and the Spawnlet are all fine. There was some very minimal damage to their new house, which is under construction, but the contractor says that the built-in contingency would more than cover it, and they wouldn't be more than a day behind schedule.
