Hi everyone!!!! I’m back with a very very happy update!!!!

TOSIE’S HCT ROSE BY 4% IN 6 DAYS!!!! She’s at 22%!!! The vets are hopeful that this means the treatment is starting to work!

I know that anything could happen from now until our next appointment, but today I’m going to hug my little girl and celebrate.

Thank you all so much for being here and supporting my little family. It has helped so much💕

Great news! It seems very logical that the treatment had to "kick in" and took a little bit of time to do that.
Yes, I’m so happy! The vet did tell us almost two weeks ago that the medicine can take a while to work, so I’m very hopeful that we could be on the right track now!

HOORAY!!! I'm so happy to hear Tosie is on the upswing. It sounds to me like she is on the right track. It will still take some time for her to be in normal ranges (usually around 40%) but this is BIG progress!! ❤ She's tired because her cells are working OT lol, but it's worth it.

I have a dog with liver problems, and when his liver is improving he actually acts worse for a day or so. It's so weird! I am so happy Tosie is doing so well and is happy at home. Hopefully bugging everyone in the house for snacks :D

That is so strange! I’ve heard similar things from other people too, I wonder why the body does that?

I thought you guys might enjoy this little picture of Tosie being groomed by her BFF Pippin. He’s the definition of gentle giant lol biggest cat I’ve ever had or seen in my life and all he wants to do with his many muscles is hold the other cats down and clean them lol

She looks to be enjoying herself! They look incredibly similar, too!

She was having a great time lol it’s so funny that she and Pip look so alike because they’re not related…meanwhile her twin brother (with whom she’s in a bonded pair) looks absolutely nothing like her! They are complete opposites in appearance!

Just checking in, I hope Tosie is doing well (and you all are as well!)
Here's my little IMHA girl, giving Tosie some encouragement. ❤

Tosie is doing great! She’s eating like a fiend 🥰 yesterday she ate four entire cans of food (for reference she only needs 2.5 to meet her daily calories) so we’re hoping that she’ll be putting some weight back on soon!!

You have to give your sweet kitty a little hug and kiss from me, she’s so beautiful 🥺 I loooove torties

Haha, I gave her some pets from all of you!
Hang in there, glad Tosie is eating. Sadie lost almost three pounds from her anemia, I felt so bad we never noticed. It just happened so fast. She put her princess weight back on, so I'm sure Tosie will as well. ❤

This is such great news! I am so happy that she is doing so good and eating so well!
Do you have a scale to track her weight at home? If not maybe take some pictures of her from straight above so you can see her waist and compare over the next few weeks to ease your mind :)

Cats can really drop weight fast. I didn't notice Willie had lost so much weight over a long period of time until a customers kid (who knows the cats and sees them a few times a year) asked why Willie was so skinny. I gave him a once over and was shocked at how thin he really had gotten.
"Princess weight"! I love it :)

Hi everyone!!

Tosie is doing AMAZING!! She’s already put a tiny bit of weight on and is eating so so well now! She’s getting over her daily caloric needs every day so we’re hopeful that she’ll have her weight up soon:) Her tongue and ears are also pinking up quite a bit!

Her favorite news she’d like to share is that she no longer needs her temperature taken 2 times a day with the rectal thermometer lol she is VERY happy about that. Now we can take it just 2-3 times a week!

Her appointment to get her last stitches out is the 22nd and if her blood values are good then I’ll be able to return to my Swedish lessons as she’ll be stable enough to be left without me for a few hours:) (she won’t be alone though, my wife works from home but Tosie is on so many pills at the moment and my wife can’t give them to her on her own lol)

I’ll keep you all updated! Thank you again for all your incredible support, I can’t even describe how thankful I am to you
