soo my lung doc says good chance i have lung cancer going from the results of my ct scan and is going to schedule a biopsy etc to confirm if it is etc. gf is a mess kinda i think and shut down any conversation with me about a plan etc. on what to to. :rolleyes:i already allowed for this possiblitiy months ago when my lung issues began so i am ready to go. in regards to whatever aggressive treatments my insurance will allow me chemo or any other radiation type stuff. a bit worried about graycie and my gf:biggrin:both are securely attached to me.so gf might be logging in on my account here sooner or later seeking advice etc. about graycie.:rolleyes3:lots to think about these next few days
Oh, I am so sorry.. I am actually flabbergasted!! I do not know what to say...................

There are so many new treatments for lung cancer; depending on location, size, type, and level..
My aunt had lung cancer, had it removed, and lived a long time. My neighbor is undergoing treatment now, for it.

Yes, we will welcome GF with open arms..
Please, keep us up to date as to what is happening.. You can always talk to any one of us.. We love you!!

Yes there are so many advancements with these treatments. My nephew's stepmother (old enough to be his grandma) did well with it and she's doing well now. :hugs:

I am working on my school corner again for DS. I just can't make up my mind on what kind of desk to get him along with storage for the things my desk currently holds. I wish my desk could just go somewhere else in the house but we are out of space. I've been looking online at yard sale type pages so much but anything worthwhile looking I've seen has been too far away to be reasonable. It feels like once I make a decision something perfect will come along. :rolleyes2:

Any possibility your desk could be cut down or remade into a desk for your son? Salvage the top, cut it smaller if need be and add new legs?

Unfortunately I don't think it could. It's a nice desk; but particle board with a big hutch attached. It's got one file drawer and one for supplies and then computer CPU space on the other side. He really needs something super simple to avoid distractions. So I'm thinking bookcase or hutch type bookcase on one side of him in the corner, his desk and then I need like a printer cart with filing drawer or two for supplies on his other side. He's a little short for adult desks and I'm getting him some kind of active seating (either a wobble stool or yoga ball). He's too tall for kid desks too. The school furniture website has some that aren't much different in price than what I'm seeing on Amazon, Walmart and Target too.

My Dad keeps telling me to get a shed and finish it so we can have a separate school place. That would be awesome...especially if he finances it. (I bet he would if he could but i'd never ask! I'm just sayin! ;)) Someday it could be a WeShed like Winchester Winchester 's but for now it'd be a little school house. :flail:

I debated putting my big desk in DD's room for he to use; but it's really big for the space and I don't want to crowd her out of her room like that. I've figured when she hits her teens and all toys are gone we'll find some kind of desk/vanity combo for her. I found a nice folding desk too; but I think setting him up in the middle of the kitchen would just leave him distracted by other things. He needs a quiet corner and there aren't many in open concept houses. :cringe:

:(i still need to learn not to just blurt or say exactly whats on my mind to the gf even after nearly 20 years i still cant do it. i made a comment i thought would make her smile or laugh during these grim times and she just burst into tears🙇‍♂️gotta tape my mouth shut i guess
Given what’s going on, she’ll probably be doing a lot of crying no matter WHAT you say….I’m sure your humor & stoicism just reminds her how fond she is of you...I imagine, she, like you, is just trying to…figure it all out.

just how strong does a cats scent linger on your clothes? graycie seems to like getting her smell onto my new clothes even after they have been washed and worn. yet leaves my old freshly washed clothes alone
