Wishing a wonderful day to my fellow Canadians, and lot's of love to everyone here from around the world!

And honour of the occasion: (Why not have fun poking at stereotypes 😁 and get to know some actual unique local stuff too)

Happy Canada day! DD had told me it was coming earlier this week. She's been chatting with the daughter of a Canadian friend of mine for a few years now so they were talking about it. It's cute watching them talk about cultural differences. The other day her friend asked if it's true that American's eat a lot of fried food or if it's a stereotype.

I'll use Mooch's birthday like usual: Sorry Two-Four. (What's a Two-Four?)

Happy Canada Day!

Gatineau Timbits. I had to google both of those, but I'm happy with what they are.

Happy Canada Day back at you cassiopea cassiopea , and to any other fellow Canadians!

I used Ruby's adoption date for the true Canadian name, and it's pretty silly - Bytown Hoser.

YES! All people around the world should be able to experience the delight of cheese curds....;)

:hugs:
I've had the ones at Culvers, but I need to take a trip to Canada and have the real thing. I also want real poutine, Montreal bagels, and timbits. Just have to get my daughter a passport. And finish the dairy ladder.

I'm born and raised in Canada, and never had cheese curds. :paperbag:

Also never had poutine, or Montreal bagels. I have had timbits though.

I’m down for trying all the foods. At least as long as they aren’t like organ meat or bugs or something; trying new stuff is fun. I definitely need to try poutine! When I was little my mom and I would get cheese curds through WIC but they were harder to find (or possibly out of budget) after I wasn’t in that program anymore.

(I googled and found a local place that has poutine on the menu. Another place has fries that are covered with gravy and mozzarella. I guess someday I’ll have to try them!)
