The green grass is a lovely compliment to the ginger stripes of Grumpy's coat. What are the flower buds?
Those are the Leonora Widow's Tears that I planted last year. They are more than double the height they achieved then, and make a nice shady spot. Each bloom lasts only one day, then falls off; it's place taken by the next one in the cluster, hence the name.

pearl99 pearl99 Banjo won the round today. She thinks. I just spoke to the vet and I will now crush the remains dose for today and dissolve in water. My fingers look like pincushions. Lol Poor Banjo. She did great the first day, well enough the second and refused today. My index finger has many Banjo teeth marks. Somehow she managed to clamp my thumb too! Very talented cat. The stuff is super bitter. How do I know? She shared! Just as I apologized, she shook her head. :barfgreen: Very good aim. :flail:
rubysmama rubysmama She has to get two and a half of those pills. That equals eight or nine pieces. I only got one pill in today so must dissolve the rest. Not going to be a happy cat. I need my fingers though.
Tomorrow I start the Bravecto. The vet was laughing tonight at my description of cornering cats in the closet for the Profender. She knows the routine because she came here to do vet checks and give shots in December. It took three of us.
I’ll take that hug and prop up on it! Lol

N NY cat man Awwww! The rain must have cooled the foliage. I didn’t know you could grown Grumpy flowers but that is the most beautiful bloom!:):lovecat2: Beautiful picture! I would love to curl up right there with Grumoy. It looks very relaxing.

tabbytom tabbytom That’s great that a wiggle got it going! Now it works? Hmmmm. People here are blaming everything on network changes. I don’t know but if it works, that’s fantastic! A couple of nights ago I saw that Cloudfare ? had an issue. Ack! I could not get on TCS for a little while.:dunno: Internet gremlins.

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Tech problems drive me to distraction. I just let the cats handle all the bugs. Lol They know more than I do about these things. Actually, I think they know more about everything! ;)

Jcatbird Jcatbird I hope that treating Banjo gets easier and she stops using your fingers as pin cushions. You have a lot going on with Banjo's new treatment and treating the whole household so they don't get infected by anything. I had so major stuff going on recently, TG all sees okay at the moment. TY and everyone here for your prayers. I appreciate it. :heartshape:

pearl99 pearl99 Praying for Gracie. Hope she starts feeling better. ❤
tabbytom tabbytom So glad your computer is back up and running normally. You should feel blessed that that wasn't the end of your computer. I had an incident recently where all of a sudden my smart phone lock screen was giving me a hard time with my code. Then after a bunch of failed attempts it rebooted back to factory setting and now it is working well again. Sometimes things work themselves out. 🙂

Yea, the laptop was laid off for a few days and I was like typing and surfing from my sloth pad and it's a pain.

So yesterday I just said to meself and try again and it woke up and and after trying to do some backups that failed, I restarted the machine and till now it's running ok.

I remember something like restarting as I do that to me phone sometimes when it is lagging. Wss surprised that it worked on the laptop. Maybe restarting is a trick to it  But not sure how long it's gonna hold though.

Hi Jcatbird Jcatbird I haven't been on the site in quite sometime, so I need time to get caught up. I did browse through some of your thread, and seen that Smokey and BJ have passed. I think that is what I read. If I am wrong, I greatly apologize!
However, if I am right in what I believe I read, I am so truly sorry on your losses. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a beloved kitty. No matter how many times we may go through a loss, it never gets any easier.
Also, am I right in that Banjo is now very ill.
My, I don't know how you handle it all, so much sorrow to go through.
I do pray that Banjo gets well and has many more happy and pain free years with you.
I know you are a great kitty parent and you give everything in you to all your kitties.
They are all so very lucky to have you!
I will need to go through your thread more and try to catch up.
If I was wrong about anything I posted, I am so truly sorry.
Again, even when I don't post, I think of you and the kitties often, always praying that all is well!

Loving Mickey Loving Mickey Hi! I am so happy to see you again. I hope all is well for you!
Yes, you read correctly. Smokey did mid last year snd BJ died just after Christmas. If you missed his search and rescue of Thrasher, I would really say to go back and read that. Thrasher was missing for three months but BJ saved her. His last great heroic act. Both losses broke off pieces of my heart but the kitties took it with them and left me a piece of theirs. It takes time for the pieces to meld but the hardest thing was helping the other cats through that. Whistle, Banjo, Flowers, Mitsy and Thrasher especially but all were affected. Now Banjo is sick. There is a thread specific to her condition and I strongly suggest to any and all cat lovers to read that. The information there could be life saving for any that might be diagnosed with Cancer in the abdomen of wet FIP since we thought that was what might be presenting with Banjo. Thankfully, it was neither! Without a CT and study of the aspirated tissue, we would never have known. There is great hope that she may recover. This was not something known to happen before.
You would never need to apologize even if there was an error! I’m just so glad to hear from you again!!:welcomeback1:
Thank you for prayers for Banjo. I guess everyone knows she has a big piece of my heart. Thank you also for thinking of us.:heartshape: Sad stuff has happened but I hope you see a lot of smiles from the kitties in between. We keep going knowing the other kitties will provide the smiles. I am the lucky one.;)

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose I may not be posting as much but I notice when someone is absent. I do check in. I hope all is better there and prayers never stop for you and others. Things here are moving along. Chaotic but that is something I have seen before. Lol I remember when every mom cat and all kittens had to be treated for Coccidia! It was a very poopy time! Everyone recovered, including me. Lol I hope things are okay.

tabbytom tabbytom Rebooting does work sometimes. I’m glad it worked and hope it lasts! Maybe it will give you time to shop around for a good sale on whatever you will need if it goes out?
Now. I am wondering if we can reboot me?:flail:👢

I heard from the vet. I could not get all the meds in Banjo today and I wanted to know if I could crush and add water to syringe it into her. Yes! I did and got it in her. Poor Banjo. It was making her drool! I gave her syringes of water and then Broths and she stopped. Afterwards she ate some and is now sleeping.
Now. Fixing me!

On a lighter note, does anyone remember Shakespeare? He is one of the kittens I raised and he was adopted. I have posted about him from time to time and I have gotten to go and visit him a few times. I have new photos of him!
First some before pictures.

He talked and sang as a kitten and he’s still doing it! Lol He even talks to me on the phone!
Wow! Floof!’

Ya, rebooting does help.

Band aids and rebooting you? Think you need to press the pause button once in awhile.

Beautiful Shakespeare, he looks so much like my cat Milkshake from the past. Why was he named Shakespeare? I always like to hear how pets got their name.

I need to buy stock in Bandaids while Banjo is getting her meds. I wind up crying when I have to give meds and they rebel!

tabbytom tabbytom , Jcatbird Jcatbird and anyone else listening: that's the first rule of IT problems. POWER CYCLE. So often it solves the problem!
Shakespeare is so handsome and from what you say, aptly named. Hope he is enjoying life in safety, love and comfort!
Yeah, we bear the battle scars, but they are so worth it, aren't they? I love the ones our angel Tomo-Taisho left on me. I'm always instantly brought back to the time when he gave them to me, after I had the unmitigated NERVE to waggle my finger at him. He showed ME!:angrycat:and even though we all know hoomans aren't the brightest bulbs in the universe's chandelier, I DID learn my lesson.
Oh, Banjo, if only you knew what motivates your mom to put you through all that! "The Great Shrinking Dune Worm Act"

Battle scars? Yeah, I have a few of them. The worst was when we were trying to put Prancer in her carrier for the group trip to the vet's office, and she managed to get one of her claws hooked into my lower lip- don't ask how. Ouch.

Jcatbird Jcatbird : glad Banjo ended up getting all her meds yesterday. Fingers, toes and paws crossed that it's working. :crossfingers:

Oh, your poor finger. Ouchie. 🤗

This is one we've seen before, but certainly applies again.

Lovely to see dear Shakespeare again. It's so nice his humans keep in touch. :redheartpump:

Yuppers, N NY cat man and rubysmama rubysmama ! Our beloved angel Tashi used to fight like a whole passel of Valkyries (or something) when I attempted to clip her claws. Lower lip??? OUCHIE OUCH!!!
I was on the (old corded) phone yonks ago when my beloved angel Simba, on my lap, decided enough was enough. Not only did she send me to the very nearby Radio Shack for a new cord, she also left an eternal record on a favorite earring. Whenever I look at that, I remember my sweet saucy rescued tuxedo Siamese and her absolute bond with me.

And here she is; Prancer, the queen bee. Even though her tenth gotcha day is only a few weeks away, she still remains the most feral-like of all our cats. She does have her moments, though.View attachment 424256
Baby Su sends love to Prancer and says, "Stay feral! We don't ever outgrow our quintessential cattedness, do we?"

tabbytom tabbytom well so glad things are back to normal. Sometimes reboots will do the trick. So happy to hear your computer didn't go the way of the dodo bird. Also, glad you didn't have to use the "sloth" computer. Sorry, i couldn't help posting this Zootopia meme. Mr. Sloth is just so expressive. Isn't he?
yes-zootopia-sloth.gif

Jcatbird Jcatbird Thank you for your prayers and taking note when I am not here. I am taking it day to day which is the only way to get through life's rough spots. I hope getting Banjo's meds into her, gets easier everyday for you and I hope all is well with they other lovelies at Chez Catbird. Thanks for showing us pics of Shakespeare-what a beauty. ❤ Well, I guess I am in one of my silly moods, here another meme for you in regards to all the scratches you are getting. I hope Banjo calms down and realizes it is for her own good. Hang in there. :heartshape:
