Here are some photos I just took,
Awwww.... she's so pretty. :hearthrob::hearthrob::hearthrob:

I just went in there and laid down on the floor, put some baby food on my knuckle and let my fist relax there, a few minutes in and she reached over to lick it off. Lots of ‘firsts’ going on, I quietly praised her, she has been doing slow blinks with me since yesterday. So exciting to see her taking these steps for comfort and love!
Oh, that's so great !!!! :hearthrob::petcat::hearthrob:

I am noticing some real signs that CeCe is feeling much more relaxed with me, it is truly amazing. The past few nights she has been watching me when I lay near her with my head resting down, and both times after 5 minutes I look over at her and there she is laying her head down doing slow blinks😍. Completely relaxed! She watches me handling her toys all of a sudden. Tonight she took her baby food and twice did a huge full body stretch! Only one really strange thing, the past 3 mornings she was yowling about 1/2 hour before I normally go in to feed her. Nothing scary, but it is strange because she has been spayed years ago. And only at that time for about 30 seconds. Maybe trying to get me to come feed her?

So happy to see CeCe is getting more relaxed every day. Not sure about the meowing. Maybe calling for her breakfast to be delivered.
That is what I am hoping, will definitely keep an eye on it though. Can’t imagine having to try to get her to the vet when I have yet to touch her, but if I see anything that looks wrong I will have no choice. Hoping she is just looking for attention.

That's good progress. Laying next to you and eyes blinking and the big thing is the full body stretch. That means she's comfortable, relaxed, and is confident.

Yowling is also one way to get your attention. Whenever she does that, go talk to her. It could be that she hungry 1/2 hour before her normal meal time.

How was your and Cece's weekend?
We had an awesome weekend! Got to really spend time near her, I was able to rest my hand within a few inches of her playing with her toys. She was super relaxed and slightly curious about what I was doing. She doesn’t understand playing so that is a good sign.
This morning however she had thrown up under the bed, when I went to clean it she was very nervous. After I was done and went back in there she had climbed up on the bed under the pillows to hide. I am letting her settle down although I gave her just a bit of the baby food and she took it after a few minutes. I talked softly and then let her be. I will check on her in a while, just hoping it doesn’t set her back too much, poor baby.

Thank you everyone, appears she has gotten over it already! She is back under the bed and letting me talk to her and give her the baby food. Today I put my finger right on the spoon against the food and ahe still ate it. Slow steps but great progress for our little cutie.

:wave3:Hi, how are things going?:heartshape:
Things are about the same, CeCe will take a fee steps to get the baby food as long as I don’t have it out from under the bed. I see signs of wandering at night but not at all during the day, she stays under there. She is more aware of her toys when I move them around, which is new. Not sure what else I can try to help her so for now just continuing with what I know☺

This evening I was laying on the floor close to where CeCe was. I slowly placed some treats in front of her paws and she ate them. Then I gently played with one of her toys while she was relaxed and her paws were stretched out towards me. I did that for about 10 mins. Then I slowly moved my habd away to get a pinch of catnip to put in front her(she loves catnip in very small doses). I guess I moved my hand back towards her too quickly and next thing I know SWAT! Luckily I didn’t react, so I told her she isn’t allowed to swat mommy🤣. She tucked her paws under herself, I kept my hand resting on floor, then SWAT again😳. Now she is squinting at me with one eye and clearly on edge. I removed my hands and laid my head down until she calmed then placed 2 treats near her and waited until she ate them. She did, then looked calm so I decided to end our session on that positive note. She is such a cute little brat.

Oh my! At least there weren't nails extended! Wonder what would happen if you tried being in her room and just ignoring her? Maybe sit and read to yourself occasionally reading a few passages aloud, just to judge her rection. Gypsy was 1 or 2 when she adopted us and didn't know how to play. She didn't care for catnip (still doesn't like dried, she likes the fresh I grow for her, I also grow cat grass and buy organic wheat grass at the grocery store) the 1st thing she played with was a shoelace tied to a window shade blind. Does CeCe have cardboard scratchers? Gypsy likes the rectangle flat on the floor the best. She liked this one cheap tower I'd picked up somewhere but ignores the nicer one I replaced it with after she destroyed it, wish I could remember where I'd gotten it. You are so great being so understanding and patient :touched: :bouquet::hangin::hearthrob:

Thank you for some suggestions! I spend some time quietly in there but it is just too tempting to talk to her LOL. I do not have the cardboard scratchers, I will pick one up to see if she likes it☺ She has scratchers in there but does not use them and her nails are so long. I feel bad that I cannot brush her and check for knots or tend to her nails at all.

Some cats prefer horzinal scratchers, some like vertical, some like carpet some cardboard. Gypsy prefers cardboard but doesn't like the fanciful shapes ones. She does like the ones that hang from the door knob.

These are her favorite scratchers. They are replacements but she likes to hook the edges so I don't put them in their holder. Chewy is the only place I've found them this inexpensive so I stock up often in case the price goes up.

Amazon is where I get these to hang on doorknobs for her.

I bought a flat cardboard scratcher yesterday, hoping she will try it. Her cat condo has the rope and the carpet posts that she doesn’t use. I put some treats on the new one for her and she ate them during the night. I also sprinkled some catnip on it so maybe she would scratch for it.
