CeCe did a thing today☺. This morning I went in with her baby fiod, spoon and her breakfast. She takes to the spoon very well with the baby food, will even move forward a bit for it. Well, I put her breakfast down after and moved to scoop her litter box when all of a sudden she was eating! I mean, came out from under the bed, over to her bowl and ate while I was standing right across the small room. I was so shocked and wanted to shout for joy, but I stayed very quiet and praised her softly, then quietly left her to eat whenshe looked at me. Baby steps to most but huge for my girl! She is so adorable😍

So CeCe and I are kind of at a stale mate, trying to think of what I can do to help her along. She eats the baby food every day from the spoon, but if I try to hold it a little further from her she will not come to it. Tried some on my finger but she backed up a little, so I will hold off on that since she isn’t ready. Her door is now open all the time, no movement during the day. Sometimes I catch her relaxing, paw stretched out, head down, but if she senses me near she goes back to just crouching. I definitely don’t want to set her back, should I continue what I am doing and being patient with her?

You should be doing both.

Sometimes it's just her character and if we don't see it this way, we are actually doing the wrong thing. So for Cece's case, go on as normal so that she gets very used to you, whether she comes forward or retreat.

Guess she still needs time and let her do it at her own timing. She has come so far which is a very good progress. I'm afraid that if you push her too hard, she may just go back to square one.

Well, everytime I feel discouraged our little Night Stalker decides to give me hope☺ Today she allowed me to give her the baby food on a short spoon instead of the extended spoon. Which means my fingers are right there and I am closer to her. That is another win and a big step for CeCe! It was beautiful out today, I was hoping she would come out to sit on the window sill but at least I was able to get some fresh air in the room. I am careful to only open the window a bit, even though there is a screen I don’t want to take any chances that she would fall through. Doing a happy dance today :hyper:

Have you tried Inaba Churu or Sheba meat sticks?

I have not tried those, will definitely get some this week to try.
:wave3:I can find the Sheba meat sticks at our local Walmart, however I have to order the Churu online. I picked these up at the grocery store just for something different and she absolutley goes crazier for them even more than Temptions! 20220518_072236.jpg
If you can get them without stressing her, some photos would be great, we love pictures :camera:
You are doing a wonderful job, keep up the great work. :heartshape: Baby steps and patience :touched:

I never see her this way so it almost worries me.
I think it's just her. The way she lays is relaxing and not stressed out. Don't worry. Also remember, cats have their moods too. Whenever she's in this mood, just do slow blink eyes with her and tell her lovingly, you love her.

I just went in there and laid down on the floor, put some baby food on my knuckle and let my fist relax there, a few minutes in and she reached over to lick it off. Lots of ‘firsts’ going on, I quietly praised her, she has been doing slow blinks with me since yesterday. So exciting to see her taking these steps for comfort and love!

That's great! You see, you don't have to worry so much. Like I mentioned earlier, it's just her. When you worry, she can sense it.
