I am so tired everyone. This has been keeping me hopping and hopping takes energy! Lol This is unheard of from what I am being told by the experts. To quote them twice, “ Weird!” Yes. Very weird! A new page on cat health! Leave it to Banjo! She probably should stop having meals with Froggie! The things frogs eat? :eek2:Lolololol Blah!

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 It was probably cat lizard car lag!! Lol I think that was the lizard that Banjo snuck in to escort her to the specialist. I hope he wasn’t lagging too. Lol
You thought it was a duck?!?!
I nearly fell over laughing about finding clothes in the dryer that are not yours! I have had that happen too! It’s the cats playing tricks on us! In your case, that elf was really a giant that the spawn snuck into the dryer. I know this because giants shrink in the dryer and that is how the size 58 jockeys ended up there. You never spotted the half naked elf? Must still be there collecting socks! Lol

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote I’m glad you laughed at the bug buzz Banjo got when she swallowed the fly. I certainly laughed!! Yuck!
Our worries for Banjo are much less than if it had been cancer or the wet FIP. Neither of thise would have been very treatable at this stage. This gives great hope! Unheard of but it is not ” we can’t help.” We have a plan and great hope!
I am so glad the doggies let you know how happy they were to see you. That love is always loyal.

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Banjo had giant ears! Lol She kind of grew into them. I guess Whistle was not scared of those ears because they were always to get her. He knew those ears! Lol He and Banjo did come in together. These were tow other litter mates too. Cordial and Painter. Both got adopted quickly. Cordial was the first to climb on me outside. He thought I was just part of the landscape. Lol I have a few early pictures of them and I can post them. Banjo and Whistle were only separated during the time of being lost in Florida. The reunion was precious.

N NY cat man Sox nice in a line? That’s the highest of all recognition! Wow! He was quite the hunter. Like the “The Brave Little Tailor”. Seven with one blow! I suppose he handled all the giants, unicorns and any princesses around there too.

Furballsmom Furballsmom Yes!:redheartpump:

neely neely Bonnie loves to shake his booty! Lol
Banjo might want her own flyswatter but right now she uses Froggie for that. Or…. A Bonnie tail. Lol

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I don’t catch spiders with my hand except for Daddy long legs. Lol Some here are not good to handle but I do let them walk onto something and take them out. If I have trouble catching them, I have learned that grabbing a potted plant from outside usually work to lure them under leaves and out they go. Lol
Chuckwallas! I have never seen one in person but when I was very little my Dad gave me a set of flash cards that were reptiles and Amphibians. My mother was so pleased that I learned them all and she often quizzed me. If I remember right, Chuckwalla was one of them.
I had not thought of those little cards in years! Thanks for bringing back a good memory. :hugs:
Mouse in the bed? Ummm, surprise! Lol Our Siamese once dumped a live black chicken on mother in the middle of the night! I got a call to rush home and had to investigate what had been deposited. Sooo funny to me but not mom. Half grown chicken became my “pet” chicken and named Fried. No one was ever going to get my feathered friend. She lived a happy life.

I suspect that Siamese was like you and Banko. She rescued that bird!

rubysmama rubysmama I love that clip! Lol The cat on the right looks so much like Banjo! I don’t think she would let me use her to clean the floors though.

Oh my yes! The day of the giant sized bottle of Dawn detergent and the box of clumping cat litter fiasco! It was quite a night! Cats sliding around and the expression on the face a Bonnie! Priceless!

I am currently scrubbing up litter dust residue….. maybe that is what the kitties were asking me to do that night?🤔 Take a hint hooman! Lol

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I would love to see these cats with a Roomba! I think that Banjo would try to save it, Bonnie might ride it and Thrasher might give it a good thrashing.

N NY cat man Wow! I love the colors and the flower interior is gorgeous! Another happy flower day! Thank you!
That raised bed is amazing! How long did it take to get that built? Another Wow!

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Thise kittens always had such cute expressions! Thise are two of the “ Cloud” babies. The silver is Cloud and the one next to him is Stratus. The third was Nimbus. They are related to Banjo and Whistle. Mom Mitsy. Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Named Cloud for the beautiful silver lining. I hope you are having a good day too!

tabbytom tabbytom Agreed! The Clorox are stunning!

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Wow! Nice meandering! I can’t really identify mots of the flowers but I know that last one is my favorite! It’s a Gypsy bloom! Very rare and protected flower.

pearl99 pearl99 This is extremely weird with Banjo! Still being investigated and I am quite tied up in the process. More to come. This is going to be one for the text books.

Margot Lane Margot Lane Very, very odd. Keep those feelings coming! She is a tough kitty so my money is on her. Literally.;) I love it! All hail to Banjo and the Clowder!

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote Yes. Most of the time we all have to just rely on our vet. After all, they have the training. I learn more as I go and this is a new one for us all. The doctors keep learning too. As cat guardians, we all work together doing our part. Googling is always a good idea. I can tell you that I have been giggling up a storm! Lol Thank you for the love prayers!

N NY cat man Yes, a big sigh! The what and why are a very good start! The next steps are guesses. Good ones I think. We are all about to learn something. This may help others in a big way.
rubysmama rubysmama It is creepy! More info coming. Please keep the vibes coming!

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Thank you! Keep it coming please!

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 Thank you! Steady as we go. Shrinking the tapeworm!

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Yes on prayers answered. No one imagined exactly this. Not in this location or exact makeup. Visualizing dissolving that necrotic tissue!

N NY cat man Cats, sun and flowers. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I am there. Very relaxing. I think I just purred!

neely neely Well you know I love happy dancing! Lol Joining you! However, no cartwheels for me. I’d probably crash. Lololololololol Thank you! Dancing now!

tabbytom tabbytom You always get it exactly! If we are loved by a cat, we did do something right! :yess::heartshape::catlove:

Maria Bayote Maria Bayote Oh! Thise are the perfect flowers! Fairy candles and chain of hearts! Beautiful flowers with beautiful names!
I am so glad you are getting time at home with the kitties. I know you missed them and they missed you. Lots of purring going on. I imagine they are purring too!!;)

tarasgirl06 tarasgirl06 I like flower scents too! Nature , ummmm. Maybe I should have been a bee? Lol

This is where we are with Banjo. The meds must be compounded and given in high doses. I spent the day talking with the vets. We will watch and hope and she will go back for more tests. This is truly one for the text books. I have encouraged all doctors that have been involved to gather together to spread the information gained as we go. It looks like there will be papers about this and results will be shared. I will probably start a new thread at some point because, if you have a cat diagnosed with an abdominal issue similar but don’t get a CT, you may not even know this is a possibility. I didn’t. It might look like wet FIP or Cancer. It did look like that! CT scans are verrrry expensive so knowing another possibility is out there may save lives. It was a series of events and people who all came together to do the right thing at the right moment that led to us finding this. What were the chances? Not very high. At first all I knew was that Banjo was constipated on a Sunday. Take her to a vet immediately? Not likely but I did. Vet thought I jumped the gun a little by insisting? Yes! Lol Fortunately I have a fantastic group of vets! They humored me and trusted me. The rest is one gift after another.
How? We think a tape worm or tapeworm egg left the intestines via the bloodstream and landed in the abdomen. Cats with a foreign substance in their system kind of wall it off if it stays there. Thus, the worm egg may have developed into a worm there and then died or the worm itself that got there died and became a mass of dead tissue. This took time. My guess is that it happened during her time lost in Florida and when I got her back to the vet here and treated for parasites, the worm died. Thank goodness! When I found Banjo, she was covered in fleas. She probably ate many snd one , or more, carried the parasite. This is one tough kitty! When I finally get some rest I we’ll go into more but for now, this is the gist of it.

We have had a separate issue with litter! Yep! It seems to be okay here now though. The supplier is on top of it and contacting the manufacturers to see if it is isolated or more info is needed. I will update on that if any issues could be out there.

On an entirely different note, Chewy learned of Banjo being ill and sent her some of the food she needs! Thank you Chewy! Banjo is lapping it up! Hugs sent back to you! I am very grateful! I have had no time to shop and this is hard to find here!:heartshape:

Three cheers to Chewy! In all my years of cat ownership, have never heard of this result! To think that Banjo might have a paper written after her that helps other kitties and vets must be puffing her up some! So heartwarming to hear about the nice vets too! Kindness has such a domino effect.

I had to go find the stunning Clorox!

Yes please slow down a bit, if you can. I bet you are tired. I would love to read a paper on Banjo! Oh my she was lost in Florida? She has not 9 but 27 lives!
Always thinking of you all! Gracie had her check up for CKD and hyperthyroid and all labs are where they should be. Not any worse.

tabbytom tabbytom Thank you! I will do that. I may be off and on here but will be reading! Promise! We do need our smiles!
Thank you for more hugs and prayers. I rest easier knowing others are helping us.

As I watched her sleep, I noticed just how deep her fur is! Her shaved paw from getting anesthesia is missing the floof!

She is a sleeping Princess! I remember the first time I introduced myself and I let her sniff my bum! She fainted!!

It was pretty funny. She must be sensitive.

Margot Lane Margot Lane Funny you should mention “puff her up” just as I was posting about noticing how deep her fur is now! Lol I guess she is puffed up!
So true about that domino effect. Their kindness and dedication may help so many! BTW did you ever see the early rescues? Meet cousin to Banjo. Domino!! Lol

pearl99 pearl99 I will be taking a break during the time Banjo is getting her meds. My plan is to just sit and observe for several hours after each dose. Time together.
You missed the story of Banjo and Whistle and being adopted, then lost? Oh my! Too much to re tell but when I get time I will try to go back and find where it starts so you can read. It is worth reading and the ending is purely amazing! Also,I seem to rent cars mostly for Banjo and rescues can be spelled c-a-r instead of C-a-t! Banjo and Whistle have a lot of stories to tell.

Kitten pictures of Banjo and Whistle.

Mitsy had stashed her babies under a building but I thought she was gone. There were four. I couldn’t get a picture then of Painter but I got this one, Cordial. The first to trust me….

I love spiders *All right, folks, no need to scream! They're really very beneficial. And for us, they are sacred.*
I will give you that they are beneficial. I will even admit that they are sacred...however, I am phobic. You may come and remove them from my apartment at any given time!

I always knew that Banjo was one for the books!

Speaking of our Midweek Pawverb...my wise father told me, "Dog love us because that's who they are. Cats love us because of who we are."

I don't know how Spooky dealt with giants, unicorns, or princesses, but, per Michele's mother, one time he was seen to tree a woodchuck.
Counting the necessary prep work, and dodging the rain in between, it took about a month to complete that bed. Actual build time was about a week. The fussiest, and therefore most time consuming part, was cutting and fitting the cap at the curved ends. Since there were no plans, only what I had pictured in my mind, I had to make things up as I went along, but it all worked out in the end.

I can only imagine how tiring all that hopping and hopping makes you. 🤗 Right now Banjo and the rest of the clowder need their Mom's full attention. Do pop in here when you can, but if it's choice of time to post or time to nap, take the cat nap.

Oh, tabbytom tabbytom , with your Roomba-riding cats (now THAT'S riding in style!) and fancy Singaporean lizards! That is indeed a lovely liz. Thanks for sharing both with us.
Jcatbird Jcatbird So we're alike in that way, too -- my aunt told me how my parents used to beam when I'd tell them the names of dinosaurs and no doubt, cars, too, because I used to sleep with my big brofur and up on my pillow, an array of model cars!
*PRAYERS* continually for Banjo's unwanted visitor to shrink away to nothing! And for you to be able to get some R&R as needed, and for all at Chez Catbird and beyond. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::cheerleader::hugs::bicolorcat::hearthrob:

Have a great weekend Jcatbird Jcatbird . All the best to Banjo and the clowder at Chez Catbird. :bicolorcat::blackcat2::silver::heartshape:

Have a good weekend everyone. Here is a pIc I took while visiting a park yesterday. Thank goodness the geese in that park was pretty chill. The little goslings were just too cute. I am grateful that we are in the better part of Spring. The weather has been lovely over here in the last few days, even though we got some rain today. 🌹🥀🌺🌻🌼🌷❤❤❤
