When your cats pee on the bottom or side of the litterbox, do you clean it off every time, or just leave it until you change the litter? I'm getting tired of cleaning it every day. I wish they would pee in the middle of the box so that the pee would entirely clump and not stick to the sides or bottom.

I use a puppy pad to line the box. They are inexpensive , 60 OUT XL pads will last me almost a year for $25. They absorb corner moisture so no damp or smelly pee corners and boxes for the most part don’t need to be washed.

I do. Cats have such a sensitive noses that I don’t want to risk them getting disgusted and looking for other places to pee! I also scoop as soon as they use one of their boxes for the same reason.

Mooch has always peed on the sides. I just scoop every day and keep the litter deep enough (about 3" max because she also can't squat well). I find if I keep the litter deep enough I don't have to do a full out change as often either. I have the xl puppy pads under each box because sometimes she pees right over when she can't squat. It works for us.

Yeah, puppy pee pads are excellent things to have on hand. I use them in front of the boxes for kitty mis-fires, in carriers in case they can’t hold it (the older kitties have problems), and on two favorite spots on the furniture where they might inadvertently dribble or barf.

Do you wipe it off every day or just leave it? Like when I scoop the pee balls, one side is stuck to the side of the box and leaves a mark of pee.
I pull the litter away from the side, spray a bit of enzyme cleaner on some toilet paper, give it a quick wipe, and push the litter back.

Does anyone here have an iPad Mini 6? If so, have you noticed that the battery drains really fast?

From what I have read, the last Apple update--operating system-- seems to drain the batteries faster. I notice it on my iPhone. I read MacRumors..

I have a Mini 6 that I've had for about three months. I haven't noticed that it drains fast, but I'm comparing it to my Mini 4 that was fading fast. Drained fast, charged slowly, froze up a lot. The 6 also charges much faster than my 4 ever did, even when it was new. It probably depends on what you're doing with it. Some apps or actions drain it faster than others.

I mainly play Animal Crossing on it, which doesn't take much battery. Most of the drainage seems to be happening when I'm *not* using it.

We have 2 official weeks of school left and right now I am SO drained. It's just been hard lately and I need a good mental break. Besides staying up all night reading.

No but I also don't really see evidence of it. I know it hits there; but maybe it's just the finish of our boxes? Lately Mooch pees in the same spot almost every time; so it can be one big clump in there. I do want to replace a couple of our boxes before long. We have a nice sturdy, metal scoop; but it scratches the side of the box up eventually and then it's harder to keep clean.

Have you checked various places in Settings to make sure there aren't things sucking battery life? For example, Under General -Background App Refresh, do you have that turned on or off? If it's on, then apps are refreshing even when you aren't using your iPad. Also in Settings, go to Battery Usage. This will show you what's using your battery the most.

Our "happy medium" solution to the cats getting along seems to be going well. Gracie gets to come upstairs after I get home from work and first thing in the morning on weekends. She eats downstairs by herself during the week and with Boone on the weekends. She is shut back downstairs when I go to bed every night.

There hasn't been any more aggression and the cats will happily greet each other each time Gracie is let back upstairs. Today they even chased each other a little like the old times without seeing it as agression. Every once in a while there will be a random hiss but nothing further. I imagine all cats get annoyed with one another from time to time and need to let each other know enough with that behavior.

I can live with this arrangement. I don't feel like Gracie is banished away from the family... even though she seemed pretty fine with not being allowed upstairs at all pretty much. I was the one who hated it. The basement door is open the entire time I am home except in the morning before work as I don't want Gracie to think she can stay up all day and won't go back down when it's time to leave. They interact with each other but still get alone time when wanted. I often find Gracie downstairs even when the door is open. Boone knows not to go downstairs and he's fine with staying upstairs all the time.

I'm reading that other people are having this problem. Apparently it's not just mine.

My mom discovered a stash of seeds and stuff from the bird feeder in her sunroom, and she just told me she discovered a "backup" stash in one of her shoes

No idea how anything is getting into the sunroom-there are no holes that they can find, and they don't leave the outside door open.
