What do you like to splurge on?

I'm very careful with money when it comes to buying clothes. I try not to buy anything unless I really need it and I always shop around for a bargain. When it comes to hair and skin care products it's another story. If there is anything new on the shelves, anything that says
"Vegan" or "Organic" or "Cruelty Free", anything that claims to be made with "Ethically sourced shea beans" or "Fair Trade lentils" and I'm like, "Here, take it. Take all my money! I need these things!!!"

What do you splurge on?

A late buddy, from West Virginia, described me as being "tighter than bark on a tree", so I rarely splurge on anything. However, get me near a Rockler store or a lumber yard and, oh, the temptation..............

Coffee. I have gone back to just the very occasional latte at Starbucks, I got bad about too many of those at one time. I still get the better-quality coffee beans and grind just enough each time for coffee. I also have a Nespresso machine for espresso. It has been years since I just picked up some Maxwell House for my morning coffee.

Kitchen and cooking stuff. I love food and cooking, so I save up for the good stuff. I'm fact, I have a bed bath and beyond gift card that I plan on using on a new cast iron skillet. I also need a new large wooden spoon, my old one broke.

I don't really splurge on anything...I'm pretty frugal and always end up talking myself out of buying something I don't really need. Everything goes on sale at some point and I refuse to pay full price. When something goes on sale, especially something I like, I stock up. And if there's something I need or want, I start watching the flyers. So although I don't splurge on anything, I never really have to go without. I'm also not a brand loyal person, so I don't splurge to get "my brand" of anything.......Oh wait! There is one thing that I do get even if it's not on sale and they are more expensive than pre packaged brands. My grocery store's, baked in store bagels are what I buy. They are just so much better.

My splurging more follows seasons. Since it's now Winter, I'm into movies. I recently purchased The series of "Dowton Abbey". Now looking for its arrival.

Yarn. My stash is huge, more than I will be able to use in my lifetime, but I have a hard time resisting buying more.
I don't splurg on the more expensive yarn though, I always look for bargains.

Books. Cookbooks. Coffee. Not the Starbucks or DD coffee. We've been drinking Bourbon-Infused coffee, made by Fire Department. Rick's been switching between Salted Caramel Bourbon-Infused and Black Cherry Bourbon-Infused. I just like the regular Bourbon-Infused coffee. It's so smooth. A wee bit pricey, but we love the stuff, so that's our splurge right now. They also have Whiskey-Infused and Tequila-Infused. I really like the Bourbon stuff.

We used to eat out a few times a weekend. We really enjoyed it. These day it's takeout. I also spend a fair amount on good wine.

:yeah: Exactly! I don't go to Starbucks as much as I used to since we found a wonderful independent coffee roaster. I buy my beans there and savor their lattes. I have the simplest and cheapest Nespresso, it's the Inissia but unfortunately it's been discontinued. Fingers crossed it doesn't break. :crossfingers:

I used to splurge on purses but find smaller size backpacks more convenient now.

I looked at their website and see that they have one that is Irish Whiskey. I do like an Irish Coffee or some Bailey's mixed in coffee.

I feel like I don't splurge often, but occasionally I'll indulge. I definitely splurged on dairy free creamers and ice cream this past year, lol.

I will spend $30 for whitening shampoo for my horse, $30 for his conditioner and another $35 for detangler for his tail. I have more cat beds and toys than can be imagined. My own hair products are what’s on sale and I haven’t had a haircut for 3+ years. So I can justify massive amounts of money for my animals but not myself.
