Has anyone else checked out the Sex and the City reboot? I'm curious to see what others think about it before I post my review (so far).

I'm re watching Frasier and The Golden Girls on Hulu. Those shows were so good. RIP ladies. I can only imagine what that reunion was like. ❤

I was looking for something new. I found 1,000 pound sisters on TLC through Discovery plus that I have with Amazon Prime. That show reminds me a lot of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo if anyone watched that. I'm not sure how I feel about it. Has anyone else watched it?

I'm watching Stargate SG-1 now. I wonder how they're going to do 10 seasons on that premise but I guess I'll find out  . I wonder why I never watched it when it was originally on (nevermind, it was on Showtime/Syfy, that's why). I love me some MacGyver.

I used to watch that show with DH many years ago. It was very good. MacGyver was great too.

I watched a few episodes of MacGyver recently and. . .it's cheesy. There are a lot of plot holes and ridiculous situations. Richard Dean Anderson wasn't the best actor at the time. Very 1985 but still fun.

Richard Dean Anderson's acting had improved by 1997, when Stargate started. And I like how they sneak in some MacGyver references occasionally ("I can't build something out of sticks and chewing gum. Who do you think I am, MacGyver?!?" Etc.)

I remember that. I need to find that show and watch it again. I need to re watch Star Trek TNG again. That's another show that I watched with DH.

We’ve been watching Knightrider and it seems like all those old shows are full of plot holes and stuff that wouldn’t fly today. We enjoyed Stargate Atlantis but I’m not sure how much of the other one we watched. Its interesting trying to find a balance between kid friendly and adult entertaining with some of these shows. I think that’s part of how we end up bingeing MacGuyver and old shows like that. It might go over their heads; but I haven’t let my kids watch The Golden Girls unless I’m folding laundry with it on in my room. They are a bit more bawdy than I’d like for their ages. Same with Friends; though I have both on dvd still.

We got the first episode for free and it was so-so, i.e. I didn't hate it but didn't love it. Personally I think they should have left it the way it was and not tried to make a reboot. :dunno:

We're watching the new season of All Creatures Great & Small, now that show I absolutely love.

DD bought the box set of Frasier for me for my birthday a couple of years ago. That show will always be good. I'm not sure about the upcoming reboot though. No Martin and no Eddie. :sigh:

I've also read that David Hyde Pierce doesn't want to come back as Niles. Hopefully they have been working on changing his mind with loads of $$$$ because he deserves it. The show would not be good without him. The chemistry between him and Kelsey Grammer was flawless. He got an Emmy nomination for EVERY one of the 11 seasons and won 4. David Hyde Pierce | Television Academy

I just hope that the reboot doesn't do to this show's legacy what the SATC reboot did to theirs. They nuked it and I'm so sad about it. :confused2:

I've watched a few episodes here and there. I didn't realize it was a series at first, just thought they were two of Dr. Smith's patients. Didn't watch Honey Boo Boo, so I can't compare. Tammy doesn't really seem to be trying at all, and the last time I saw it Dr. Smith gave her an ultimatum, which was overdue.

Would love to see Season 5 of Outlander, but it's on HBO or is it Starz, and I refuse to pay for it.

Just finished Station 11 on HBO Max, a very uneven series. And tomorrow I will finish Yellowjackets on Showtime. It’s an engrossing but confusing story. We will see if the finale tomorrow clears it up.

Yeah it's a series. They just finished season 3. No. Tammy is not trying at all. If she lost any weight, she's gained it all back. IMO she needs to be off the show. It hasn't done her a lick of good. She needs to be in controlled environment where she has access to therapists. She was in one at the beginning of season 3 and was doing well. She decided to leave against medical and family advice. As soon as she got home, things went back to the way they were before. She needs serious psychological help before weight loss surgery should be considered. The show can continue with Amy and their brother Chris who IMO has become the real star of the show. He just had surgery too and is doing well.

What I do is take the free 30 day offers that these providers offer periodically. I just make sure that I binge watch what I want to see and then cancel before the 30 days is over.

Well, what I will do is wait until it's on Netflix. It may be a while. I have a few nits to pick with the show anyway. The Highlands of Scotland are nothing like the Smoky Mountains, for one thing, but the stars insist they are. The large house on the edge of the frontier isn't believable either.

The only thing we're keeping up on right now is The Book of Boba Fett, which isn't as good as the Mandalorian, but it still a fun watch. We've seen one episode of Witcher season 2, and have one episode left of the second season of Tiger King.

My husband figured out how I can get our plex on my laptop, so I finally finished season 2 pf Schitt's Creek the past week or so while J was napping.

I started watching Medium a couple weeks ago, but haven't kept up with it. Started watching House, got through 2 episodes and decided, nope. I should start re-watching Star Trek TNG as it was my favorite of the ST series.

Lari Lari What do you think of Witcher? I've been tempted to try it.

Decided not to watch the SaTC reboot. I didn't watch much of the original series. And without Samantha, well....I think I'll pass until it comes on for free at some point.

I like Boba Fett, but not as much as The Mandalorian.

Never signed up to renew Discovery+. I may, though, as I really miss it.

Not sure, but I think Outlander is on a free trial of Hulu.

Once football season is over, I'm going to get a trial of Paramount+. Bob (co-worker) is coming down and we're going to stream season 2 of Evil. I'm going to re-watch season 1 to get caught up again. I think P+ trial is for a month, so that will give me some time.
