Is anyone else playing Wordle? I’m just glad it resets with a new word only every 24 hours or I’d be sucked into an endless vortex! Everyone in the house would be on their own.
i Had to check it out yesterday. I did awful yesterday but good this morning.

The Home Depot is having a special offer where if you buy a tool combo kit, you get a bare tool for free. I've been needing a jig saw for the travel trailer repair and so I decided to buy a combo kit. The store listed it as being in stock but my order was canceled. They still charged my visa. I tried this with 3 other stores that said they had it in stock and my order kept getting canceled. I tried contacting them and customer service was so unhelpful. Anyway, I found another store over 60km away with it listed as in stock and so I took a shot. The order actually went through and then I picked it up yesterday. I drove all the way back home, got inside and opened the box and one of the drills was damaged. I tried going to a local store to explain the situation and they were getting rude with my mom and I and weren't very helpful so now I'm super gluing it wondering if that will be enough. I expected better from a large company like this. Ugh.

Graceful-Lily, I know that frustration when purchasing a item only to find out something is wrong with it. A few days ago , January 10th I received a Black & Decker portable workbench via Amazon. The downside was that it needed to be put together. The assembly instructions / photos are horrible IMO. Plus some of the metal brackets arrived bent. It's mostly assembled now 4 days later. Two of the small metal parts are too large in diameter, so a grinder or file work is needed before it can be installed. I have purchased other Black & Decker items from Amazon without a problem.

Yesterday’s was hard. My first two attempts gave me an “a” and an “e” and in the wrong places. Gee, how many words have both an “a” and an “e”? I didn’t expect the word to begin with a vowel and have double letters. I ran it to the last attempt and got it only by luck. Fun without taking up your entire day!

I would not do that but instead return it to Home Depot. A damaged tool is just no good in the long run and I don’t think Super Glue will hold up. Better to get your money back and wait for them to be back in stock or perhaps can be ordered and shipped.

A drill or a drill bit?
If it's a bit, those are cheap and I wouldn't worry about it. However, if it's a drill, take it back.

I agree with this. I'd also contact HD corporate and tell them what happened. I'm sorry you and your mom had to go through that Graceful-Lily Graceful-Lily . :hugs:

It was shipped poorly. The had the drills in the bare bottom of the box with no padding. They threw some plastic bubble wrap on top and called it a day. They said they don't have any indication from the supplier that there will be more coming into the store so these might be the last. If I return this, I might not get another one. It's the trigger part. It snapped off. I see where it is broken and glued it back on last night. It seems alright as long as it doesn't hit a surface or I drop it but lets be real, I probably will. I'm thinking about contacting the manufacture directly and telling them that The Home Depot has been giving me a hard time.

The store I went to for help didn't even look at my receipt or the damage. Didn't even call their manager or anything. Just told me they couldn't help me get another one. I could only get a refund and I would have to be the one to find somewhere else with it in stock and order from there. But the stock was already low everywhere and whenever I ordered it at others stores it just got canceled so... UGH! I told them my order kept getting cancelled and that the stock was low and they didn't seem to care so...

I think I just over bought suet for my birds. Tractor Supply had a sale of buy 12 get 2 free. That was only about $15 so I did... I think I can freeze it if I still have some in the spring. But depending on how late spring is getting here; I might use it all. I picked up a bell for them too. Walmart hasn't had the usual Woodpecker treat bar I like to get. Hopefully they like the bell too.

SIGH...I think I want a Keurig, if I can get the refillable pods for it. It sounds so lovely, fresh coffee whenever. I currently make a pot, and then heat a cup in the microwave over several days. Fresh every time would be lovely.

Get a coffee press! It's much cheaper. I put in a scoop (that came with my old one that broke) of coffee a day and get my two cups out of it with no waste.

Or just look for a single cup brewer. We have one that uses pods but also came with a basket that can hold grounds. It doesn’t store water but to me that’s preferred because its one less thing to clean. DH and I get up at different times and each have one big cup a day. It’s better for us than a pot. Plus we often make different kinds. I usually mix half decaf grounds with some kind of flavored. And then I use the flavored syrups as sweetener. Its a nice way to start my day.

:biggrin:found turkey spam at the market really curious about how its gonna fry and taste with tomorrows breakfast
I never understood the whole Spam thing. Had it once and nearly vomited.
Have a lot of friends in Hawaii and they all swear by it. They are almost obsessed with the stuff. So there must be something about it. I just can't though.

I had a Keurig. DD has it now. I prefer coffee from a regular coffee maker. My coffee pot is a 10 cup. I make 4 cups daily and drink it from This travel cup.

It really does keep the coffee hot. I sip on it all day. The Keurig isn't bad. DD likes it and uses the refillable k cup. That's much better than using the pods IMO. There are some really good coffees out there that are not available as kcups.
