I laugh when I read the above posts of such warm weather! I'm sitting here looking at my thermometer reading 6 degrees, better than 15 below zero like yesterday!

It's 43F right now. Poured rain all night and very windy. Lots of flooding. The creek out back overflowed but fortunately into the trees and not our yard like it usually does. Severe storms some places, not here, we just got some lightning. Lot of power outages but fortunately we have power here. Its supposed to go down to 29F tonight, and we may get some snow flurries later but won't stick because for the past several days it's been in the 60s and 70s. It may accumulate in the mountains and further north along the border.

Woke up to a winter storm warning from the National weather Service. Two inches of snow today - seriously that is not a snowstorm, just a minor annoyance.

Rooftop weather station is all the way up to 23.4 degrees Fahrenheit. We might even reach the freezing point on this sunny day.

No wonder the cats were so affectionate and joining us under the covers last night!

Currently 53 and high of 70 today.

My parents are a state away and Sunday night they were expecting an inch of snow. They got 6 inches. My kids were bummed that we came home 3 days prior and missed it all.

We are forcasted to have a high in the single digits Thursday! A other day to worry about my outside cats. I hope the heated huts work!

That's barely enough to get the snow plows out.

They predicted anywhere from 4"-16" for us. We got maybe 1.5" out of our winter storm warning.

LOL! I agree, much ado about nothing! They predict 6 inches and we get maybe two. But I did see the snow plows out for that two inches, they must need something to do! Predicting more snow to start this afternoon, maybe another two inches, but what is more concerning is the bitter cold with the front moving through. High winds, snow, and highs in the low teens and single digits for the next two days. Wind chill 25-50 below zero F! I pray my little ones will just stay in the garage, I worry about them enough!

I was told we got 13 inches of snow. I'm not sure because my cable went out at noon on Monday and did not come back on till last night. However, I could not change the channel. I started messing with the remote and now I can't get anything. I just hope I can get someone to fix it in my lifetime. It took the maintenance man 2 months to change a light bulb in my room. People are having trouble getting here and going home. I think the kitchen is running out of food. A truck turned over on 95 and it took people 24 hours to get home. I was so bored the last 2 nights that I had to actually read a book. I have not done that in years. I'm so glad I don't have any outside cats to worry about. I do worry about you guys with outside cats.

No cable, OH NO!!! i try not to mess with the remote, I always lose everything, and then my husband just shakes his head and fixes it. I am so thankful e are retired and can hunker down until this extreme cold passes. I wish it would snow a lot, it would keep the cats hunkered down too! I still have to go outside twice a day to feed them their heated food, I am out for only a few minutes, I can't imagine any more!

-28 C (-18 F) up in Saskatchewan, Canada :(

We're under an extreme cold warning. Wind chill of minus 42 C later today. Frostbite in minutes of exposure so we gotta wear da mittens if we're going out.

By Friday we'll go back to normal winter temperatures for our area.

if your remote has an “input” button, it may have been switched to the wrong input. Push it once, wait a few seconds to see if the TV returns and if not push it again and repeat. You might have to do this as many as six times to get back to the right input.

Blustery, cold and snowy. It snowed overnight, four or five inches but very light and fine so that combined with the wind anything you tried to move seemed to all blow back in your face. While it was only 15 degrees I needed all my heavy duty winter gear just to finish blowing the driveway and by tonight it will probably be all filled back in. But I had couple errands to run and wanted to catch the roads when they were freshly plowed.

The maintenance fixed it this morning after 3 tries. He came right away and did not make me wait. I'm clueless when it comes to stuff like that. Of course I'm clueless about pretty much everything. It was Hell going that long without cable.

We haven't had snow like this in 13 years. It's good to be retired.

It is an absolutely tropical -30°C/-22°F. :sunshine::lol: I came back from getting groceries two hours ago and it was -35 then. At least it's a bright and sunny cloudless day.

Edit: Our wild forecast for the next few days:

Was thinking "how do you live" when I realized it was Celsius. Still real cold, but not as bad as I was thinking.

Our temps are supposed to go down to a whopping 1F tonight with single digits tomorrow. :cold: At least we only have 4" of snow left and the roads are drivable.
