Cat just Spayed, won't calm down?!

It's been just a few hours since I got my cat home from being spayed, and she's trying to play, jump around, etc; I can't crate her because she has an absolute coniption, and literally every room in my home has numerous pieces of furniture and things she will try to mess with. What should I do?
I don't want her to tear her wound open

Maybe putting her in a bathroom will contain her somewhat if she won't go in the crate. If it's evening where you are, feed her, and that may quiet her down. Calming pheromones like Feliway are supposed to help as well, if you have some.

It's been my experience (albeit somewhat limited) that spayed cats don't really need any restraint to heal properly. It's mostly them licking or scratching at the incision that's the problem.

Is it safe for me to apply gauze and a bandage to prevent her from getting at her incision? I bought a cone from the vet but it's large enough that she can't walk with it on and it just slips off over her head.

You can try a baby onesie if needed, but she's probably just coming down off the high of the anesthesia. (My male kitten was WIRED from the anesthesia when he came home.) Depending on how young she is, the elastic part of a tube sock works to protect the incision as well.

This is her incision today, the day after her spay. I think she may have already torn it open, the picture is sort of difficult to see but her incision is pink and goopy in the middle for lack of a better word. I'll be contacting the vet in the morning.

Hi 333BRNDN ...what did your Vet say about the photos?
(to me they don't look too bad, since I don't see any yellow or white discharge...but like you said...the skin layer does look a little open...so just curious of what your Vet advised?)
