Asking about the shredded chicken. My cats won't touch it so I tried some.
Wondering whether I've gotten a bad batch...I dont know the answer. But like you I have tried tiny tiny portions of a couple of their foods, just to learn a bit about what they are eating. I cant imagine a cat enjoying sour food.
For the record I can safely state that "Purrfect Bistro gourmet gravies with real deboned beef" tastes remarkably like cheap hot dogs in very bland gravy to me........although Greg seems to like it.
I once took back about 12 cans of cat food to a major pet store. The store supervisor agreed that the green chunks in the canned food looked very much like mold and she readily exchanged them. The manufacturer said they investigated my concern and felt it was unmixed portions of alalpha (or something).Wondering whether I've gotten a bad batch...

Yeah relatively new. They love most wet food and eat other stuff just fine but always struggle with this brand.Your taste buds are different from a cat's taste buds. What might taste weird to you tastes yummy to a cat. If your cats didn't touch the food, the smell of the food might have been off putting to them. Or the texture. Some cats only eat pate food.
Is this a new food you offered for the first time? Cats often snub new food and it takes offering the food several different times until they decide to try the food. You could mix a little of the new food into some food you know the cats like.
