That sounds really yummy! Did your husband have any? I haven't had angel hair pasta in forever. Did J have any?
Husband no - he had his leftover tuna and rice that we can't eat since I'm off milk, butter, and fish (going to try fish with J soon)? J had some.

It was okay, but I should have made more because I was really unsatisfied. Even had a piece of summer sausage after I posted. It's just one of those days I want to eat a lot, I guess.

Monday night I made French Toast. Last night was just toast topped with some cinnamon and sugar, as tummy wasn't feeling hungry. Not sure about tonight, but hopefully something other than another version of toast. ;)

I had this Margaret Holmes canned Succotash. It was not what I was expecting. It was really watery, almost like eating a can of diced tomatoes. Was I supposed to drain it
Most canned things are supposed to be drained. I've only used succotash as an addition to various things, and I've only used frozen, but, yeah, I'm sure it would have been better drained.

Last night I just had eazy cheeze on chips, I've had a cold and just couldn't rustle up enough energy for anything else.

Went out for dinner (cheeseburger and a cup of cabbage soup). Power is off here, so I couldn't cook anyway. Web-surfing now from the restaurant. I think a tree trimming crew accidentally dropped a tree on the wires. Whoops!

Cats are piled up on the bed sleeping. They'll be okay for a while, and I have a generator if the outage goes on for long.

The directions said to microwave for 2 minutes and eat, didn't say to drain them. So I tried to do what they said.
Yeah, I'll try the frozen next time. It looks like those are drier. Thanks.

Lunch: Huge Dinner Plate Salad- Lettuce, Tomato, Celery, Aldi Tropical Trail Mix, Target Penguin Crackers, Trader Joe's Pistachios, 1 Hard Boiled Egg, Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, French's Honey Mustard Dressing, Hot Mama's Too Hot Habanero Sauce.

Dinner: Same Thing As Lunch. Finished up the French's Honey Mustard Dressing.

M maggiedemi As a rule, you do drain canned vegetables. My mom never did and they weren't the best. I buy frozen vegs over canned. We think they taste better. Canned vegetables seem to be cooked to death before you ever warm them up.

Last night we had spaghetti. I brought up a container of pasta sauce from the freezer and microwaved that while the pasta was cooking. A couple slices of homemade garlic bread, a bit of applesauce and we were good to go.

Pork chops tonight. Not sure how I want to do them yet. Not sure if I'm doing sweet potatoes or white potatoes. Green beans will be in the mix.

I have a holiday work dinner thing tonight :ohwell: I really don't want to go but I have to. Introverts hate big gatherings of any kind :fear:The dinner is awfully late, 7pm and we probably won't get food until closer to 8pm after the usual schmoozing and socializing stuff. I'm not sure what is on the menu put together for us. My manager mentioned pasta and steak options.

:yeah: I agree, we buy frozen veggies too except for when I'm making veggie chili. Then I use 3-4 types of canned beans but always drained.

Gluten free pasta tonight - I like TJ's fusilli quinoa and rice noodles. Salad on the side, no bread but chocolate dipped biscottis for dessert.

Agreed. I don't buy canned veggies. They are mushy from the getgo IMO. Frozen is way better.

Tonight is bacon wrapped shrimp and salad
