Having a Mackie couch partner is blissful, I think -- am I right, Jcatbird Jcatbird ? Large, warm, soft, sweet, and reassuring.
My parents were Yuban drinkers and so am I. I like the dark roast.
Just read this morning about a lot of packages from one big-name shipper being found in a "ravine" in AL. SO...if you have things scheduled to come to via Fed-Ex, you just might want to check:
Hundreds of FedEx packages found near ravine in west Blount County
We've had a lot of trouble with mail being dumped in bags by, I assume, the mail carriers...people are really off the rails! :sigh: I don't get it. I'd think these people would be glad to have their jobs!

And now for something completely different:
LOLOLOLOL!

Not sure Birds and Beans sounds much better.
I see your point! But seriously, since I'm a big birder (of more than Big Bird) it's Birds because it's grown in ways that preserves bird habitat. There's a whole approval that the Smithsonian gives to coffee bean farms and they have to keep a certain amount of trees etc., not cutting them down etc.
Maybe Mouses need habitat preserved too come to think of it!

I understand that there are some chain coffee places that are starting a cheese coffee trend in the states now too.
Not! I don't know how that would be good, for me anyway.

Yes. At least we always have Kitties & Coffee. I know they keep me going. ☕:vancat::bicolorcat:
Yes! More of each please!

Jcatbird Jcatbird --Wow, I recommended Amazon to you when your canned cat food came busted open. But today it happened to me! What a mess. I'll never order it from them again! They did refund me though. Luckily, Dad hosed off the cans and is going to try to save as many as possible. We'll see how many we can save and then order more from somebody else, maybe Chewy.

Maybe they are really busy for the holidays and not being careful? It has never happened to me before.
Actually, though, that can happen no matter the vendor and no matter the shipper, M maggiedemi -- I've had it happen even with a case I went to the store and bought in the past, if I recall. The materials that the cans and tops are made from are pretty flimsy and since the cases are stacked to the depth of ???, the pressure can cause this. Good that you got a refund. I know Petco refunds very well, which is another reason why I'm loyal to them. Their customer service reps aren't the greatest, but whose are these days?

So do I! The darker, the better. I've been using instant lately, it's easier to make my drink concoctions with it. I really like espresso. ☕

Yikes! They didn't want to deliver so many packages, so they just threw them in a ravine instead, hoping nobody would notice?! 😲

Yeah, but they made no effort, just threw it in a box with no padding. Petco was the best! They used to ship it to me plastic wrapped & strapped to a big sheet of thick cardboard. But Petco doesn't sell Friskies anymore, they went more natural I guess.

Michele ordered more litter from Chewy. When it arrived- at the house across from us, by the way- there were only 2 bags instead of the 4 ordered, one of the cartons was all crushed and had a boot print on it, and one of the bags had a split on a seam. It would seem that the quality of the drivers has taken a real nosedive.

Wow, that's just ridiculous. I guess they are pretty overwhelmed, but it doesn't make any sense to send people stuff all smashed up, it just takes more time in the end.

M maggiedemi Yeah, "more natural" (i.e. cheaper) is key now. We all (presumably) want to save the environment and trees and cut down on oil consumption. But you're right...it ends up costing more when people screw up. And it increases stress on the receiver and (hopefully -- come ON, Karens!!!) on the managers and workers whose carelessness shows they just don't give a damn. We pay $$$ for our orders. They need to be in good condition. That's what we pay for.
N NY cat man That's unjustifiable. I hope you and/or your wife gave them an earful. It's way past time to push back on anyone and everyone who treats us carelessly/badly.

The question is: did Chewy ship 4 bags and 2 got 'lost'? We have never had this problem before, but if FedEx is the culprit, then it is largely out of Chewy's control. I had Michele take pictures to document the condition of the packaging and the split in the one bag, as Chewy has always been good about making things right, even when it wasn't their fault, although, yes, it costs them money which ultimately we end up paying in one form or another.

Yeah. Hard to find who's responsible in this maelstrom. And yeah, the cost certainly doesn't get absorbed by the businesses! Good on ya for documenting what you did get. HOPING you get it all made right and get your supplies.

Well, there is some question as to whether the driver dumped them, or if they were porch pirated and dumped later, but since a lot seemed to be unopened, I'm guessing the former. And I've had problems with that shipping company recently.

It would seem that the quality of the drivers has taken a real nosedive.
Yeah, let's not blame the vendors too quickly. Hek is addicted to Litter Maid corn littler, which I order from Walmart,, 6 months supply at a time. The last order came late. I tracked it, and a box was sent back to the shipping company's (same one as dumped packages) warehouse "for inspection." When it reached me, one bag of litter was opened, then taped shut with packing tape, and was only half-filled. The box looked like it had gone to war. I reported the issue to Walmart, telling them that I was sure it happened during shipping. God bless them, they refunded my entire order. Told them it was not necessary, and they said, "Yes, it is."

When I ordered several 40 pound boxes of litter from Walmart, they completely covered the boxes with tape so the litter wouldn't leak out. But the problem was, they taped over the handles, so it was hard for the delivery guy (and me later) to carry the boxes!!! I heard the delivery guy out there complaining and he basically just tossed the boxes. Litter ended up spilling out and was everywhere. I don't blame him, it was almost impossible for me to lift and carry them without the handles too! Dumb!
