Just found out Chewy is doing a 1:1 match for items donated from your favorite rescues wish list!

Apparently it’s for a limited time but works great and easy! I just did Carthage humane society and Faithful animal friends out of Neosho Missouri. Both no kill shelters doing great works in limited population areas and low economic base.

Great opportunity for you to help your local shelters

Amazon does something similar all year. The program is called Amazon Smile. A 0.5% donation is made to the charity of your choice. Lots of animal shelters, rescues, and related charities are listed.

The link to Amazon Smile to start shopping and help the charity of your choice --> Amazon Smile

Your regular Amazon account will work to sign into Amazon Smile 👍 Purchasing through the main Amazon.com web site will not result in a donation made to your charity so you need to bookmark the Amazon Smile link and remember to use it each time.

While you're on Amazon (either site), see if your favorite animal related charity has a wish list. Take a look at the list and see what you can add to your order. The wish list item purchased will be delivered directly to the charity. Pet food and other essentials are typical wish list items.

TYSM for posting this! I avoid amazon but I know a lot of people use it and I hope they'll avail themselves of this opportunity to help cats in need! :thanks: ;)

I'm on the fence about Amazon or various reasons but sometimes I can only find items there instead of at, say, Target or other place.

For those who do buy from Amazon regularly, definitely use Amazon Smile instead of the main Amazon.com :agree: Go to the Account section and near the bottom where it says Other Programs, select the Change your AmazonSmile charity. Use the search box to find the charity of your choice.

Great suggestion and I hope everyone who uses amazon will do that. I'm more of an eBay person myself. I have several favorite sellers that I check before buying elsewhere, like whiskersrescue which is a longtime favorite doing TNR/adoptions out of Sayreville, NJ. They sell jewelry, quilts, and other things. My cat supplies come from petco.com and other stuff from various and sundry other places. I like to go indy when possible so etsy is another platform I like.
