LTS3 LTS3 Wow, they really do have frozen cranberries! Good job, woman!

I'm making whipped potatoes for Rick tonight. He had tomato-basil soup last night with a dish of ice cream. I offered to make him scrambled eggs, but he's being stubborn.
Not sure what I'm having.

I offer the food and she decides what and how much of it she wants to eat at any given meal. No stress around mealtimes is my goal.
You're a good mom! 🤗

Growing up we had to eat what our mom put in front of us or we couldn't leave the table. Fortunately times have changed and for that reason I never made my kids eat anything they didn't like. It's ok to taste or try something new but if they didn't like it or found it revolting there's no point in making them eat it. Mealtime should be enjoyable.

I met friends for a late lunch today and I'm still filled up - veggie omelette, multigrain toast and fresh fruit. I'm planning to just have a bowl of lentil vegetable soup for dinner tonight.

Some of it! It wasn't too spicy, though. At least, I didn't find it so with my low spice tolerance.
Yay! I'm so proud of my namesake! 🌶🌶

She chose not to eat her tomato, however. Which is fine.
I don't eat plain tomatoes either. They need mayo or thousand island dressing.

Yummy. I love instant potatoes cause they aren't lumpy.

Lunch: Veggie Sammich- Dad's homemade bread toasted, 3TB Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Mustard Dressing, 1TB Lottie's Habanero Hot Sauce, slice of Kraft American Cheese, 1 hard boiled egg sliced, Target Penguin Crackers, Lettuce, Onion, and leftover Green Giant Broccoli Spears in Butter Sauce. I chucked it into the microwave for 1 minute. Probably should have put it in the toaster oven, but it was yummy!

Dinner: Aldi vegetarian nuggets in toaster oven at 425 with 1TB Lottie's Habanero Hot Sauce cooked on them. Roasted Potato, Carrot, Onion, Garlic, Olive Oil, Garlic Parsley Salt, Celery Salt mix, Target Penguin Crackers, 1TB Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Mustard Dressing, 2TB Hunt's Ketchup.

The Hunt's ketchup isn't as good as Heinz. It has a distinct pasta sauce flavor to it! But it's fine.
The nuggets seem to be fine cooked at any temp besides Broil!

neely neely I'm hoping it'll help her develop a healthy relationship with food. I wasn't forced to eat things I didn't like, and still ended up picky, but I know when I was a baby, first foods were very bland. I'm hoping very early introduction of more interesting flavors will help her out, but she'll like what she likes.

I made this chicken, turnip and mushroom stew.

Lately I can't get enough cream cheese and bagels.
There is no such thing as "enough" cream cheese and bagels. Jess sayin.

Felt like steak for this weekend..
I felt like a steak, but could NOT bring myself to sit on the griddle... sorry...I HADDA!

Tonight will be roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy and corn.

I really, REALLY like the Bird's Eye crispy green beans, BTW. I like them enough to consider replacing pop corn with the beans when watching movies at the house, and that's a whole lot of liking!

Yum. How did it turn out?

Fried potatoes and onions, brats and saurkraut.
I'll have to try some saurkraut on my veggie dogs.

I really, REALLY like the Bird's Eye crispy green beans,
I have those on my wishlist at Walmart! They have crispy beans, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower. I want to try them all. I'm really impressed with Bird's Eye lately over Green Giant.

Lunch: Veggie Sammich- Dad's homemade bread toasted, slice Kraft American Cheese, 1 hard boiled egg, Target Penguin Crackers, Onion, Celery, Lettuce, 3TB Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Mustard Dressing, 1TB Lottie's Habanero Hot Sauce. Chucked it in the microwave, 2 minutes was too long, made it soggy.

Dinner: 2 Egg & 2 TB Cottage Cheese Omelet, Green Giant Corn in Butter Sauce, 2TB Wonderful Pistachios, 2TB Hunt's Ketchup, 1TB Sweet Baby Ray's Honey Mustard Dressing, 1TB Lottie's Habanero Hot Sauce.

Man, Pistachio nuts are expensive!!!!!! They are good though.

We love sauerkraut but it can be rather tart straight out of the can,so I rinse it in a strainer under hot water, and then saute it in a little butter.

She's had pizza before. She mostly gets a piece of crust. I got it with barbecue sauce, Italian sausage, bacon, spinach and no cheese.

Went to Meijer today and got some DKB on sale. Having a turkey and summer sausage sandwich with chao "cheese", miracle whip and lettuce. And a few chips.

Meatloaf.

As long as the oven was on I baked two white potatoes and two sweet potatoes. Himself doesn't like sweet potatoes. The white potatoes were large. So he had half a white potato which leaves options for the leftovers as either twice baked potato or cheesy baked potato. And I'll even eat leftover baked sweet potato cold.

A braised medley of carrots, celery, green peas.

Himself had the last peach cobbler, warmed up. I had vanilla and chocolate icecream.
