Good morning! :wave3:

Whoa, it's cold and breezy! It rained last night and I'm a little surprised that some of it didn't turn into snow. Cold, cold, cold

What do you want to see on your Thanksgiving table? What do to NOT want to see on your table?

I want to see the mashed potatoes. Rick wants to see the crockpot stuffing. We do NOT want to see green bean casserole!

Edited because I'm an idiot and not awake yet. I inadvertently put in my three things to do today here! :paperbag:

It's just the cats and me so I can have whatever I want on the table. I keep it simple. I'm going to Publix tonight to see what they have. Probably a ribeye that I will grill for the girls and me. They love steak too. What I don't want on the table is anything fancy. I don't cook anything elaborate when it's just me. I don't see the point. I might have a baked potato, some nice red wine and salad with it.

I'm visiting others for Thanksgiving, so "beggars can't be choosers," but I hope they have some pumpkin pie and good stuffing for the turkey (although I did make myself some stuffing a day ago to get my stuffing fix for the year).

We're going out of town to be with my elderly mom for the holiday so we'll be eating at a restaurant, and hubby and I have decided to do something different. I'm going with the vegetarian option:

Coconut – Lime Infused Red Quinoa with garlic spiced chickpeas, roasted red bell pepper, pickled red onions, fresh basil and mint

and he says he's going for the prime rib! Slow Roast Prime Rib sautéed green beans and garlic mashed potatoes

And for dessert? Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake Enchiladas with caramel drizzle

I'm not even sure what that is, but as long as it's pumpkin flavored, I'm good!

I'm not super picky. No marshmallows, especially ruining some good sweet potatoes. They can be in hot cocoa and s'mores, that's it. No white gravy. Nothing with a lot of fennel.

What I like:
I LOVE green bean casserole, so anyone who doesn't like it can send it to me :D. Deviled eggs are great. I'll eat Stovetop stuffing any time (my grandma made the WORST homemade stuffing; it was all gristle and fat and chunks of bread so hard you could break a tooth. We had to sneak Stovetop in so as not to get sick). Gravy and mashed potatoes are divine. Olive and pickle appetizer tray. Sweet potato pie is a little better than pumpkin pie.

I don't really like turkey. I usually shred it up, put it in my potatoes and drown it all in gravy just to get it down. I think I'll take some advice and carve up a Costco rotisserie chicken, that's much better than dry, gristly turkey!

Stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, turkey, warm fresh yeast rolls. Nothing like a lot of bad carbs. I actually like good homemade cranberry sauce. I don't like the stuff that comes out in the shape of the can. I think I like it because it balances out all the rich carbs a little bit.

I'm on team green bean casserole too. I love it. I wouldn't make it just for me but when it was DH, DD and me we had it every year. I started making it from scratch one year and it's amazing. The french fried onions are so good. I'd have to buy twice as much as I needed because we would all snack on them.
