I've heard of being placed on a pedestal, but dining on a pedestal? It seems to work for Krista! And afterwards, a show of long white stockings and then, a hand over the eyes. 'Night Dad!

At this point in her dental discomfort, I would have fed her on a throne if she would eat another half ounce. Only a few more days from here until the very last dental she would ever need. After years of struggles with resorption, I was unnaturally thrilled about de-toothing my cat.I've heard of being placed on a pedestal, but dining on a pedestal? It seems to work for Krista! I know. And it can be such a helpful thing to do for a cat who's having dental problems. As, I'm told, it can be for humans, too.At this point in her dental discomfort, I would have fed her on a throne if she would eat another half ounce. Yeah, well, and not to disparage your very nice space heater, but *One of them is a LOT cuter than the other.* Just sayin' -- oh, and softer, too. They both generated a lot of heat. But only one of them was allowed on the bed.
Krista looks about the way most people seem to feel when going to the dentist. *Most. Not me. I LOVE going to the dentist.*October 29, 2019:
I have so many of these paw across the face shots. I should collect them together for a memory video.

Road tripping with Krista. On the way to the last dental she’ll ever need.

At the hotel. Food first. A little time spent watching the World Series with me. Then off to her fridge climbing adventures. It only took her three hours to get to the highest point in the room.

It always made me much too nervous to let her do that at home. I purposely cluttered up the top of the fridge. But when we are on vacation, I let her summit the fridge or the cabinets. She really enjoyed it. Almost as much as she enjoyed sitting next to or on me.Krista looks about the way most people seem to feel when going to the dentist. *Most. Not me. Amazing! Krista really, really makes sure there are no zombies in her environment, doesn't she? *Silly seasonal reference. Disregard if preferred.*
Our fridge here is a built-in so there's no clearance whatsoever. But in the Mojave, the fridge had several visits. It always made me much too nervous to let her do that at home. Although you can’t see them, this is her last picture with teeth.

Back from the dentist and already eating. She’s still doped up on the painkillers from surgery.

Because a few short hours later, she’s cross eyed with pain.

No place she’d rather be.
Hockey? I don’t like hockey. If I had to sit through a game, I might go cross eyed with pain. No. We were watching baseball. That’s the only sport we watch here (and sometimes track and field.) We both had epic naps each Super Bowl Sunday. We always set out to watch it. But never stayed awake past the first quarter.*Maybe the pain is because Krista didn't like hockey? It looks like hockey! *My bad*
I don’t watch hockey or basketball. The sport moves too quickly for my attention deficit challenges. I don’t know if it’s an Aspy thing or a whole other bag of cats. But I just can’t focus on that fast paced action for very long. I pick up my phone or laptop or some other distraction and before you know it, I’ve missed something or the whole thing. Baseball is a nice slow moving sport that I can half watch and half listen to with all my other distractions. It looks like hockey! *My bad*
My roomie is the same way, though. She loves baseball but I go in the living room and there she is with the TV on baseball and looking at her iPhone. I like to do one thing at a time and give it my total concentration but I often find myself watching a video on YouTube and looking at the sidebar...*sigh*I don’t watch hockey or basketball. You LOVE the dentist?! The dentist is one of my biggest fears. I have bad genetics for tooth enamel so I'm constantly needing fillings/crowns no matter how frequently I brush and floss (which is currently 3 and 5 times a day). I've also had a lot of bad dental work done that's had to be repaired, and additionally I can't stay numb! I not only metabolize the numbing agent really quickly so it wears off, but I also need twice as much as most people just to get numb in the first place. There's been times where they couldn't give me any more and I just had to take it. Needless to say, I'm so frightened I have to have a family member come in with me every 6 months because I freak out so much. I envy you!!Krista looks about the way most people seem to feel when going to the dentist. *Most. Not me. I LOVE going to the dentist.*
