:rolleyes:i need help finnishing off these chocolate cakes i have:lol:
On it!!!

I wish.

Bell LLC got my message and emailed a letter to my daughter that she is to take to the BMV to get the license thing situated. She has to get a letter from the BMV to send to her insurance company to show that her license was suspended in error. He was nicer to her this time.
That is insane! I know most insurance companies increase rates for no-fault accidents--which I think is wrong--but when it was not your fault?! Oh my goodness!

She took the paper to the BMV and assumed that she would not have to pay a fine because it should not have been suspended in the first place. But guess what. She had to pay the fine. Now, I am even more upset! We are trying to get that straightened out now.
This situation is absolutely ridiculous. It's like two steps forward one step back (thought at least it does seem like it's slowly inching in the right direction). Best of luck getting that fine revoked.

Until we pass enough steps of the dairy ladder, or she decides to stop breastfeeding, whichever happens first. I couldn't decide if she passed the half step or not, so I'm going to forge ahead with step one when I go to the store and make muffins. If her crankiness/diapers get worse (because of a higher volume of baked milk), I'll say it's a fail, if it stays the same, I'll blame the teething.

Lactose intolerant baby and she is thinking about making and eating muffins with a little milk in them to test out whether baby had a reaction or has hopefully outgrown her intolerance. Did I get it right Lari Lari ?

I am having a few days where I really need to hide out from my family and had to let all calls go to voicemail today. Brother has a girlfriend in the hospital with a blood clot and thinks I am his Uber driver. Dementia aunty is in the hospital and as always is acting more nutty than usual and is close to being transferred to a psych ward. My sister keeps calling with updates on her but also as usual never listens to my advice.

It is a full moon isn’t it? My mother swore it affected the kids that boarded at the school she taught at when I was a kid.

Sort of! It's not actually lactose intolerance - breastmilk has tons of lactose, it's the protein in dairy she's intolerant to. Different forms of dairy have the protein more or less broken down, so we're following the ladder to see if she can handle anything yet (sometimes kids can pass the lower steps but not yet the higher ones. The ladder goes like this:

.5 - original goldfish (milk is in the ingredients as less than 2% in there, so it's the tiniest amount)
1 - baked milk with more milk (must be baked in oven and have flour; things like muffins and bread)
2 - butter
3 - yogurt (sour cream is available after passing this step)
4 - cooked cheese
5 - uncooked cheese
6 - heated milk (things like pancakes. Also, chocolate goes here)
7 - straight milk/ice cream

I should have known! When I was working I could always tell when there was one by the strange behaviors and situations that came up.
I’m sitting here with DS who was rolling through his math until DH walked in. Now his nose is stuffy and hes exaggerating a cough. And the lovely moon was rising over the back hedges…as I tried not to lose my cool.

!!!! OMG KarenKat KarenKat how adorable!!!! Welcome baby Isabelle! And that hair is really something!

How are you feeling? The hormonal drop after birth was something I didn't expect to be so strong until it happened. The crying at absolutely everything cleared up after about two weeks.

You had a planned induction, right? Did everything go okay? You recovering well?

Thanks everyone, we are so happy and excited (and exhausted!). I love her hair, it was totally worth all that heartburn.

And her blood sugar was completely normal, so my GD didn’t affect her which I am so happy for!

I’m feeling pretty good, actually. Haven’t noticed too much of a hormone drop so I might have lucked out a little there.

The induction went super quick actually, I must have been pretty ready. Sunday night they gave me Cytotec, the first quarter dose actually kicked off labor. They added in pitocin at a very low level and about 21 hours later she was here. With the epidural the whole thing was pretty manageable, although pushing was almost 4 hours and that was the hardest thing I think I’ve ever done. So worth it though.

I understand the hairy baby = heartburn. I birthed my own little monkey almost 18 years ago.
