I've had a pretty good week. Some long walks on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and 90 minutes of yoga every day. I had planned to go horse riding on Friday, but a typhoon came through so we had to cancel. Instead I went to Ikea and spent about 3 hours wandering around their massive store.

Yesterday I did an hour of yoga, walked for an hour and spent 2 hours assembling the Ikea shelves I bought. Feel like I qualify for Mensa now I've put that together.

Today I did an hour of yoga and then started building another outdoor cat tree from some recycled wood. Lots of sawing and lifting, must be great for my arms. Hopefully I'll finish that tomorrow.

I have been having my ups and downs this past week with eating well and exercising. I am just going to work harder this week to make sure I get all my walks, exercise sessions, and eat the right foods. Incidentally, I got food poisoning a few days ago, but I got over it. I just took extra probiotics for the next few days to replenish my gut flora. I am back to normal now.

Wish me luck that I fully get back on track this week. Consistency is key. Hope everyone has a good week. Keep focused.🙂

Oh no. How horrible. Glad you're back to normal now. 🤗

Good luck getting back on the diet and exercise track. I'm kinda back on track now myself. Hopefully I can keep it up.

I am staying on hiatus till after the New Year, but I am trying to to exercise nearly everyday. I figured with the Holidays and other things happening in my life, it is best to go back on my diet then where I don't have to many distractions to deal with. I think this is one Weight loss New Year's Resolution I can keep for once. Yay!!!

Glad to here you are getting back to your walks. I also wasn't a fan of sticky humid summer weather. So relieved to be in a season with cooler weather as well.🙂

I know, Fall rolls by quickly and before you know it it is Winter. Hopefully, you can get as many walks as you can in before the season's changes.

I was suppose to take a walk today, but it is dull and rainy outside and I just was not feeling it. I did get my Cardio and Ab sessions in though. I may have to use my treadmill more often, especially on bad weather days. However, I still want to get some outdoor walks in. You burn more calories in the cold. It may help me lose the weight when I return to my diet this winter. I am staying motivated. I think this a permanent lifestyle change for me. I want to be at my healthiest weight. It is within reach, I just need to be consistent and stay motivated.🙂

strider rose strider rose Good for you!!! Keep it going!!!

Here is a motivational meme, I like to share. Stay motivated everyone. You can do it!!! Progress, not perfection.

The weather is really nice here at the moment. I've been doing yoga every day, but I haven't been out for many walks because I've been building a new outdoor cat tree for the beasts. It turned out pretty well and it's in position in the enclosure now. So far only two cats have tried to climb it, but I'm sure they'll use it more once they get used to it.

We went horse riding today. Here's a short video of our ride.

How's everyone doing this week? Our weather is still very comfortable, so I've been able to go out a lot.

I had my second dose of Pfizer after horse riding on Thursday. I was expecting to feel a bit rough, but surprisingly I felt better than ever. (I hope the doesn't mean my immune system is ignoring the vaccine.) As we both had the day of Mr H and I decided to climb Sankoudai. 90 minutes up and about 30 minutes back down. After that I did about 90 minutes of yoga, which is more than I usually would have done after a hike.

Saturday was an hour of yoga and an hour walk, Sunday 90 minutes yoga, Monday and Tuesday 90 minutes yoga and an hour walk.

Here's a few pics of the walk up Sankoudai.

On the way up

"Friendly" little bug ????? He may be friendly, but still a bit creepy looking. :disturbed:

That's good you had no bad reaction to your 2nd shot. It's strange, some people (me included) feel fine, but others are totally wiped out. It will be interesting to learn if they are tracking things like that, with break-through cases, etc.

I've been going for short walks, but since our weather has also been nice, have also been taking advantage and sitting on my deck and reading. Leaves are starting to turn colour though, so before too long I'll be doing lots of raking for exercise.

Maybe we got the placebo.
Norachan Norachan Love the pics. I would love to go hiking somewhere myself, but I make do with my walks around the neighborhood. I have not been getting to much into my cardio sessions. Seasonal changes really does affect your mood. I will try to get back on track soon.
rubysmama rubysmama Glad you are soaking up the season. I use to go to Vermont to take in the beautiful Foliage. I just love visiting there, seeing wonderful sites and meeting people. I wish I could visit this year, but it is not happening. Oh well.

Well, stay motivate everyone. Take care.🙂

How's this for motivation? I was motivated to walk very quickly this morning. You see 10, right? There were 20 more to the left.

Well, that will keep you on your toes and in shape. Joking aside, wild Turkeys can be just as nasty as wild geese. You don't want to get attacked by one.

Seriously, 30 Turkeys walking around? That is dangerous. Couldn't they(your town) relocate the Turkeys to a better place where they are not a menace to people? I generally respect wildlife, but you should be able to live with out worrying all the time if you will be attacked by turkeys. Stay safe. 🙂

I’ve never had a problem with them; they always just move away, even this group which was waaaay larger than the usual handful. But others here have said that they’ve had turkeys go after their dogs while they’re walking them on leash. The community brought in animal control people to trap and relocate them, but so far, the turkeys have outsmarted them!

Wow, I'd be way more intimidated by them that I am by the boar and the deer around here.

:thud:

I'm planning a long hike next week. I want to climb Jyunigatake. This is how it looks from here, it's the flat peak in the middle of the picture.

Walks324_R.jpg

I've been wanting to do it for a few years now. It's supposed to be a 6 to 7 hour hike, moderate to hard. I think if I aim to start hiking by 9 am I should be able to get up and back and home again before dark.

This week I'm going to try and walk 2 hours every day to build up my stamina, then have a rest day on Thursday and climb on Friday.

90 minutes yoga and a 90 minute walk today, but it was a long uphill stretch on the way home so that was good.

Wow! That's crazy! We have some geese that can get aggressive. But no wild turkeys.

That sounds both exciting and tiring. Good luck!

Not surprising. The turkeys see a dog as a threat so they act aggressively towards them. I really hope they don't attack any outdoor kitties. Those Turkeys are huge!!!

Haha!!!! So they outsmarted Animal Control. Now who are the turkies.😉😁🦃🦃🦃
