Yeah, Tidy cat light weight is a major mess. I had to wash it off my cats to prevent them from eating a bunch of it. I switched back to regular tidy cats after that mess and never looked back.
I thought Tidy Cat only made lightweight litter.

Thank you for your info. When I get my order of litter I can then see if it will work for Misty. If it does have a scent that maybe a problem. I have looked for a mat to put under her box but they all seem to big or to small. But I will be getting her a new one soon. Thank you again.
Look for the word UNSCENTED on the label.

Weird how different batches can be. I found Dr. Elsey's to be very dusty. But it also didn't clump very well in the litter robot. When i pour in the Frisco brand, I get no dust cloud at all
Which Dr. Elsey's litter did you buy?

I use World's Best Cat Litter (original, unscented formula). It is made from corn. While I change the litter pan outside, some dust is carried away by the air. But after that, there is zero dust. It clumps beautifully. I scoop it daily into a litter locker, and change it when it gets low.

With corn litter, from what I've read you do have to scoop daily and stay on whether or not the bottom layer is damp. I, also, understand there is the possibility of mold from damp and some concerns of afloxins growing in the damp corn.

Here is the PetMeds discussion of the possiblity of afloxins in corn litter

I used it for a few months and it wasn't bad at clumping. I scooped 3x a day, but still small gnats started swarming the litterbox. I didn't like the smell of it either. I just use an unscented clay litter now. My favorite was always integrity cat. But you can only get it on the west coast now.

I use Arm and Hammer Slide clumping litter and absolutely love it. No dust, though there is a pleasant scent. It clumps very well and doesn't stick to the bottom of the tray. It does track a little as it is very fine, but a silicon mat in front of the litterbox catches most of it.
I also use slide and love it. I just changed back. I tried wood pellets but it made a mess and my cats did not like it. They would poo right next to the box

I use Fresh Step Unscented. It is a tad dusty. but I can live with it. Never smells, it doesn't track that bad, the cat likes it... Can't ask for more than that. I've used Arm & Hammer and I agree, it smells. Not like cat poop, but like clay.
