I was looking at DD’s history lessons for next week and on Monday she’s supposed to be making a cylinder mosaic by gluing pony beads to something like an old prescription bottle. That requires some kind of super glue… I ain’t feelin that! 😩 I need some kind of alternative.

We had fun writing messages in cuneiform yesterday though. :lol2:

hot glue gun for applying the beads? just remember acetone (nail polish remover works to unstick fingers etc.will damage the plastic thoughalso not sure if that works for the almost super glue types

graycie is in trouble with gf this morning. she chewed a bra strap this morning i guess its a trip to victorias secret this weekend
Are you certain that Graycie wasn't bribed???

holy moly, that must have been so hard! Glad Spawn 1 came out ok!
Mostly it was frustrating. My doctor kept saying I had to have my dates wrong. My ex was then working on crew boats in the oil field. He'd work six weeks, be home for 1 week, then gone six weeks again. I knew to within 5 days when he was conceived, given travel time to and from the docks. It was only when he picked his head up (this was back when they put babies on their tummies) and tracked a nurse walking across the nursery when he was less than 12 hours old that they admitted he was an 11-month pregnancy. Nobody believed it because he was just TOO healthy, and my fluid wasn't contaminated with waste.

27 inches?!?! Where did he fit????
Well, he only weight 8 pounds 8 ounces. It was a little like giving birth to a boa constrictor...long and skinny! I was heavily addicted to nicotine in those days. I managed to get down to 5 a day while pregnant, but the doctor and I had a serious talk, and decided the medications I'd have to go on to control my nerves would be worse than smoking 5 a day, although he warned me that I would probably somewhat stunt the baby's growth. VERY glad I stunted him! Don't think I could have managed much more than what he was!

With all the seasonal pillows I have, I was surprised that I didn't already have one for the Fall ( although I do have one for Halloween and Thanksgiving but not for before that time of the season). Couldn't find the right one because I am not into Farmhouse decor and like to decorate in warmer colors like browns and rusts.

Found a Fall pillow at the most unusual place ( never would have thought to look at that store). Joann's Fabrics. Got a great deal on it too. Normally $39.99 but on sale for $14.99. 60% savings!!

I did find one at Kirkland's but it was pick up only and I don't have one near me. It's a good thing because I really love their decor and would spend way too much money if I could shop there in person.

I think we will try that. I just can’t imagine doing this project with a classroom full of kids. I was thinking of just letting her make a flat one; but that wouldn’t match the history she’s supposed to be studying. :rolleyes2: Either way I don’t hold up too much hope for the long term sturdiness of this project!;)

Hot glue will hold just about anything, definitely beads. You just have to watch out for the fact that the glue is really hot.

I think she’s old enough to use one under supervision. If it comes to it; I’ll place the glue while she places the bead. Faster is usually better with hot glue anyway.

I tried a new tactic last night to improve the interactions between Willow and Lola. I piled a bunch of toys in front of Lola’s gate at bedtime. Both girls love toys and I expected neither could resist playing with them. There is enough of a gap in the bottom of the gate so toys can be pulled or rolled underneath. I am hoping they will discover that it is a fun game to have a pal to push toys back and forth to one another. It didn’t happen last night but there were seriously loud and long playing sessions by both around 4:00 am. One soft growl from Willow but that was it.

I learned yesterday that Boone and Gracie are all about routines like their Momma is. They were walking around the kitchen around 4pm which is unusual for them so I thought maybe they were hungry. It was a little earlier than usual to feed them. Normally on the weekends, they get dinner around 6pm. I put food in their bowls and they just looked at it and walked away. Right around 6pm, both came back and started eating. Guess I learned my lesson to not feed them early again.

Cats do love their routine, don’t they.

Ten minutes up and about to brush my teeth and I hear Gracie in the litter box with tummy troubles. I poke my head out and she gives me a guilty look so I leave alone. No one likes an audience when you are on the potty having issues. Luckily Gracie is good about quickly covering stuff up but it must have still smelled because Boone went over a short time later and tried to cover it up some more. 🤣

Now an hour later and she is fine. Just a one and done kind of thing.
