My family recently switched from bleach to Simple Green to clean up after our dogs (they're trained to use puppy pads in our back hallway but occasionally miss). I was cleaning up with it earlier today when my extremely hyperactive kitten ran through it. I panicked and didn't want her licking it off her little feetsies just in case it poisoned her, so I gave her a quick bath just to be safe. Should this be something I watch out for in the future?

Does the product have a list of ingredients on it? If not, you could check the company's website.

I think I have some Simple Green stuff at home but it don't get off work for another 4 hours. I'll check when I get home.

One of my cats licked Simple Green residue off the floor as a kitten and wound up with a really upset stomach. I believe I took him to the ER for treatment.

I'd be cautious using Simple Green around pets even if you closely follow the directions. Keep pets off any cleaned surface until it is dry. You may want to run a steam mop or just mop with plain water after cleaning with a Simple Green solution to be extra cautious and remove any residue.

Ok, I will definitely make sure to mop it up after and (try to) keep her out of the area until everything's dry. I hope your little one is doing well now.
