 Wow. Just wow. Its probably too much to expect people to keep their opinions to themselves. :rolleyes3: I actually had a client concieve naturally at 57. She thought she was in menopause but her doctor discovered she was actually pregnant. She had several grandkids at this point. I don't know how her pregnancy turned out. But she's not the oldest to so...zip it people.
My children are seven years apart--not by choice--and last summer I found out I was pregnant at 45, despite having multiple surgeries on my uterus and not really having a cycle in about 15 years. (My doctor called my uterus a hell-scape. It is.) It was a huge shock for my husband and me. Obviously, things did not work out, but, considering my history, we did not expect it to.

When I am out with Hobbit, I am often mistaken as his mother. I correct them. Yesterday, I had to pick up some stuff from an auction and a man helped me put the large boxes in my car. When he saw the car seat, he said, "You're smart for not bringing your little one." I then worked in that my "my" little ones are 28 and 21 and that that little one is my grandson. It does tend to surprise people.

On a completely different note, I have to share this picture of my son's dog, Iris. She is just too adorable! Yesterday was her first day of training. They said she is doing exceptionally well.

My condolences for your pregnancy that didn't work out!

Anyone used one of these battery-operated handheld tiny chainsaws? Haha, I got one on sale from Amazon and it's awesome. I've been whacking things in the yard all afternoon. I don't imagine it'll last long, at this price point, but I think I've gotten my money's worth already.

Close to the oldest! The oldest naturally conceived pregnancy was at age 58.

Before she went through menopause (at age 58, coincidentally), my mom used to tease me with "I wonder if I'm pregnant. . ." (my dad had a vasectomy after my youngest brother and it shouldn't fail after 28 years so it was just teasing) and I'd threaten to make her have the baby in a nursing home or something like that, lol. I can't imagine having a sibling 35 years younger, yikes.

My aunt had 2 girls in her 40s, I think the pregnancies went well. She had some health issues a few years ago that her daughters were really too young to handle. . .but health issues can occur at any age, and are any of us old enough to handle that kind of thing? Not really. So why not. People are usually more financially secure and temperamentally stable when they're older anyway.

I just picked up a small Ryobi battery operated chainsaw this summer at the thrift store but haven’t used it yet. Seems like it will be really handy though.

No, but I want one!
Dooo it!

I have 6 acres and a lot of weed trees, which are very hard to cut with a lopper, so this is great. I just ordered another, mainly so when my dad comes to help with the yardwork we can each have one, but also when he isn't around I can have one in each hand, chop chop! (or bzzt bzzt I suppose)

After you chop them, treat their stump with stump killer and they won’t return. Won’t stop new ones from growing but it does help.

My husband's mom and grandmother were pregnant at the same time. His mom lost her baby while the grandmother did not.
