We have 2 weeks before school starts. TWO!! I am trying SO hard not to feel like this guy::runaround:. And this guy :bawling2:. This summer has not been as relaxing as usual and it has blown by. We took a trip but we also had people visiting basically every week of July. Even two in one week. After over a year of seeing next to no one; it was a bit overwhelming. This introvert is maxed out!

I've felt behind in gardening all summer too. Someone asked if my kids could help with pet-sitting during thier vacation but since it runs into our first week of school they asked someone else. I was *really* not excited to add an hour of driving and what not to both my last week "off" and our first week "on". Even if the kids could have learned about earning money. Mama has her limits.

Things are going really well with the new girl Lola. She now has run of the house from morning to evening and she and Willow get along moderately well. Lola doesn’t hiss or react at all to Willow, but Willow will give out a hiss if she gets too close. But they can be in the same room, Willow is sticking to her normal routine and I am comfortable leaving them alone in the house. Lola is locked in her room for night which she doesn’t seem to mind and we will stay with that probably for a long while until I feel they would both be okay on my bed.

That’s terrific news! You never know, do you. Lily still hisses at Mocha and gives her the occasional half-hearted swat (“I’m in charge here and don’t you forget it!”). It’s been almost four years!

I never ever expected this. At my mom’s Lola was a tense bossy cat that would take a swat or scratch and bite anyone that got close. Because of that I wasn’t sure if I would be able to keep her, and fully expected her to terrorize and attack both Willow and I. But you are right, you don’t know until you see the cat in a different environment.

This is Willow and Lola ignoring one another. They follow one another from room to room doing this

Starting to talk like a mom to these two cats who have been stalking one another all day long. “Keep it up you two and I am going to be picking a claw out of somebody’s nose pretty soon!”
Next thing will be, "Yeah, you two, it's all fun and games till somebody ends up in a cone!"

What does it say? I'd say the most common reason is that the service member got deployed somewhere else. Another common reason is an incomplete customs form.
