I love my husband. And was thrilled when he picked up a 20 pack of toilet paper when he had to run out earlier, because I forgot last time I went grocery shopping.

But one-ply??? C'mon! This isn't the height of the tp shortage anymore!

My husband bought a metal detector with some gift cards he had saved up. He was out back digging up our backyard when I left to go feed someone’s cats. Remember all that time I spent watering grass this spring? There better be pirate treasure back there! :hmmm::crazy:
That is great. Tell him he also needs a pinpointer so he doesn’t have to dig such big holes. And suggest he check out Treasurenet.com to learn everything he needs to know about metal detecting!

I actually got him one of those for Christmas because we’ve lost things in the grass too many times! I’ll send him that website in the morning! We definitely need to read up on how to best go about it. He did look up the laws about it and found a site that had info on where to go. But I don’t think there was much “how-to” help there.

Took a bit of a break from the site so I stop spamming worried threads/jinxing myself... but I think Boogie finally got over whatever mystery sickness was plaguing him. The most annoying thing was with all the tests, meds, etc. he literally decided he was better the night before I got more meds for him. Came to me, purred the most he's purred in months (he's not really a purr-er), and then decided he wants to eat everything. No more food avoidance, no more vomiting, no more runny stool... just all gone one day. I'm not mad he's healthy suddenly after I spend so much, but it's frustrating to not know exactly what caused any of that and how to prevent it again. He's now perkier and happier than he's been for the last 5 months, and putting on weight again. My vet says "cats are mysteries, sometimes they just decide to stop being sick"

I was turned down as a volunteer at my library. She said "You don't look like you could carry books."
I told her there were other things I could do but she said a person who could only volunteer for 2 hours
was not much good to them." She was soooo rude!!

and ungrateful. Wow. You'd think they'd be happy just to have free help at all.

I looked at our local library's website about donating some books I have. They will only take one box and there is a LONG list of things they don't want. OK. Fine. What are they getting? Nothing. I'll take them to the thrift store. Our local Humane Society has one. The money will go to the animals.
