I have a 2 year old (1 year and 9 months technically ) spayed (at 5months old) female cat with something wrong with her nipple. It is not swollen but very red. With a weird rash? (Could be a rash or maybe a cut) on the bottom of her nipple for about 2 days now.(that’s when I noticed it could have been there longer) Then today I noticed those 3 little white dots on top of her nipple. All of her other nipples are normal little pink bumps. Except for that one. No fever, swelling, mood swings, sensitively to touch or anything like that. I was even looking at it for like 1 hour yesterday trying to figure out what it was and trying to get a good look at it, poking and prodding at it and no sign of sensitivity of anything like that. What should I do? Does this look concerning? Could it be something that could just go away?

The fur around it looks very wet. Perhaps she has been over grooming in that area, which is aggravating the nipple and causing redness.

You can try putting cat onesie or a cone on her to see of the redness goes down once she can't reach it, or just observe her for a while from a distance to see of she bothers that area at all.

Thank you! I’ll try that!

You can try the kitty onsie, as S StanAndAlf stated; however I personally, I would take her into the vet.. looks like an infection of some sorts. You do not want it to get worse. Sometimes things can happen quickly with cats....

At least see if you can send the pictures to your Vet.See I am pretty sure they will int to see her.
It will ease your mind, also.

(((hugs)))

Send a picture to your vet would be my suggestion as well, that won't cost you anything and at worst your vet will tell you to bring her in for a closer look.

I feel the ointment will be licked off. Please do not put anything on the area, unless it is vet approved.
You do not know how toxic the ointment is to your baby.

Play it safe.

I didn’t think of that! I put on some antibiotic ointment. Could that hurt her you think?

I do not know. You do not know what this is.. Personally, I would as the Vet before using anything on my cat. You just do not know... also, we cannot prescribe treatment here. Please wait until you contact your Vet.

Just my opinion.

My cat scabbed her nipple from biting it and I’ve gotten antibiotics for it but she newly developed these black/ brown spots near her nipple. Is this anything to worry about? And what does that white thing in the image look like also?

Can you post a focused pic? That one is blurred. The brown spots look sort of like freckles here, not sure about the white part.

I circled the white spot. Is that a better picture? And pointed at the brown black spot.it new spots that are popping up she hasn’t ever had them before. And it’s only on this one nipple.

It’s a bit hard to tell. It could be new skin growing over the wound. If it has an odor or is oozing moisture then I would think the vet needs to check it. It’s always best to ask the vet to reassure you if you have concerns. Watch kitty and make sure she is eating, drinking and going potty normallt to report any changes to the vet. You may be able to call and ask to send an email or text with the photo. Hopefully it is just new skin but better to check.

Sorry but I can’t offer an opinion on what those are based on these pics. I would ask your dvm. It doesn’t look really bad to me, it seems to be healing.

Good idea! I’ve already checked with them and got antibiotics for her wound on her nipple. I just wanted to see what that looked like to other people. No smell, odor, or hot to touch or anything. Normal eating and drinking. And same level of activity as always. Thank you so much for your time answering my question!
