45 minutes yoga and an hour walk on Saturday, 90 minute walk and 30 minutes stretching on Sunday, just 45 minutes walk today.

I've started doing lunges and squats while I wait for the kettle to boil or the sink to fill while I'm doing my chores. I can usually manage ten lunges on each leg, then get on with whatever I'm doing.

Have you tried Bulgarian Split Squats? They're great for your butt

Bulgarian Split Squats are an excellent exercise for the butt. I also do variations of Donkey Kicks and also Glute Bridges to tone legs and buttocks. It has been working wonders for me. 🙂

You guys are all doing so well. Me, not so much. I did lug 4 bags of mulch into the backyard, and spread them around the garden yesterday. Need more mulch, though, so more "weight lifting" another day. ;)

When I injured myself, I had taken one of the round 3 pound weights off the barbell, and I would set it on my stomach when I was doing sit-ups for hours. Bad idea! 😲
So it wasn't a free weight, but a dumbell weight that caused that injury. Free weights are the ones you hold in your hands and they can range from 2 or more pounds. 3,5, 8, and 10 are the most come pound in free weights used in strength training and cardio. Putting weight on your belly is not advice. Maybe you can look at a few videos showing how free weights are used with exercises and see if that is for you. If you wish to do workouts with weights, start with the lowest weight you feel comfortable with. Do 12-15 reps and add an additional round of reps, if you think you are up to it. Scale up or down with weight size as you feel necessary and do more or less reps if you feel you are able or not able to. Watch your form, your movements are suppose to be controlled (no swinging)

Well I hope that gives you more clarity on the subject with free weights. I am building muscle and getting definition in my arms and shoulders. I may go up to 10 pounds in the near future inhopes to see even better results.🙂

2 one hour yoga sessions and a 90 minute walk yesterday (Got to pet one of the neighborhood puppies!)

45 minutes of yoga today. I've made a few changes to my diet too. Not to lose weight, just want to give myself a bit more energy. I've been busy at work recently and I've been surviving on a diet of coffee and toast. Of course that's left me feeling pretty lethargic. This week I've only allowed myself two slices of bread a day, the rest of my food is all fruit, vegetables, tofu and nuts. I'm trying to stick to just two cups of coffee a day too.

I'm already feeling a bit better.

Same here. I do better when I stick to a healthy diet and 2 cups of coffee, along with my walks. I need to get back to my schedule. I want to do 30 days of sticking to it and see if I feel better.

Yes, it's amazing the difference a proper diet does for your mood and energy levels, isn't it?

90 minutes yoga and a 90 minute walk today. The forest is so pretty at the moment, all the dog wood trees are in bloom.

I have a baby one of these in my garden, but it's never had any blossom on it. I have serious tree envy over this one.

Once it's no longer a baby, it'll probably have beautiful blossoms. At least that's what Google says. ;)

It can take 5 to 7 years before dogwoods bloom in earnest.
Dogwoods often take five to seven years before they begin to bloom in earnest. The good news is that if it takes a while to bloom, it's because the plant is happy and healthy rather than because it's under stress, and should keep blooming away for years to come.

Oh great! I think my tree is about 4 years old now. Not long to go.
