OMC that is an upset and unhappy cat.
I don't blame her. But of course, I don't blame you,either!
And yeah, "insert cats LIE" or at least, their illustrative creators do. Imagine any cat smiling blissfully while you medicate them in ANY way, shape or form! :angrycat: :noway::rolleyes3:

Just a few days post-surgery and she’s already showing remarkable improvement in her gait and balance.
View media item 423512And she got some supervised release from lockup. She spent it pinning down the jailer. 😹😻

1. "Lookit the soft, furry lamp GO!"
2. *PURRZLES!* An honor and a privilege to be pinned down by such a sweet and lovely little rumbler, yes?:hearthrob::kneading::hearthrob::cloud9:

I went for a run yesterday evening. In the middle of my run, there’s a tortie just sitting in the middle of the street like she owns the whole thing. And the sidewalks. Granted, it’s a quiet street. (And she’s wearing a collar.) She’s watching my approach like if I want to pass, I have to go through her. So I call out a greeting as I’m passing by her and she comes sauntering up to me like we do this every day. I stop for her and bam! Head butt into my leg. Rubs and scritches and then she stops to sniff me for a second. “Now that we have the greetings out of the way, let’s see if I know you.” 😹 She gave me a few licks and snaked around my leg a bit more taking all the scritches she could get from me before I continued my run.

They may have poured one more from the Krista mold before they broke it. 😉😻

One of the more challenging aspects of her recovery was keeping track of her incision site and scar and making sure it’s not infected. In many cases, I held her over an iPad in selfie mode and snapped some mostly blind shots. These are some of my better shots without the iPad hover. 😹

I remember. That was quite an operation. Not comfortable looking.
And yeah, we have two of those here. Elvis somehow manages to slop the liquid-y gravy from some of his food off onto the tray I serve him on. Thankful for IKEA trays!!! which are so wipe-able and catch such a multitude of, if not sins, certainly bits and blobs and tiny lakes of gush.
Hmmmmmm. A tortie. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

I wish that would work for my boys! I bought a huge mat from Chewy and they still insist on eating over the floor and dropping bits of raw meat everywhere. Po will even purposely drop a huge chunk from his mouth onto the floor so he can then pick at it. I've just gotten in the habit of wiping the floor every time they eat now.

There's a reason why I mostly fed Krista's raw portions on the countertop or desk. If she was going to pick food off the plate or fling it, I preferred to pick it off my coffee maker than search for it in the carpet or underneath an appliance. 😹

June 26, 2018:
One of the first vet visits from her senior years. This might be the ER visit from the first time she stopped eating. If that’s the visit I’m thinking of, we waited two hours for a cat doc when every dog that came in before us and after us got seen before then. 🤦🏼‍♂️

2019:
I think we started timed feeders the day before. Looks like she figured it out quick enough. 😹🐷

Also 2019, apparently I missed a National Hug Your Cat Day the other week. This is my belated entry.

Though really, who’s hugging whom? 😻
2020:
She adapted to the pen life so quickly.

Yes, "though really"! Our beloved angel Sammi used to wrap his tail around my waist when I picked him up. If that's not a cathug, I don't even need to know what is.

Krista would lay on my belly and chest whether I was laying or sitting. My little mountain lion could pull off a vertical cat bib. 😹 If that ain’t a cat hug! 😻

Krista looks very happy, healthy, comfortable and content in front of her fancy feeder.
Vertical cat bib! Did you two ever do the cat beard thing?
No intentional cat beards. I tried it once or twice with her. She didn't get the concept. She also did not go for cat yodeling. She just didn't get annoyed enough to vocalize in the necessary ways. I made the nearly fatal mistake of trying a "cat scan" with Cabbie (attempting to get a scan of her on a flatbed scanner.) Those were some impressive scratches. Krista wasn't scared of cucumbers or bananas. As cat memes go, I had either unwilling or uninterested participants. 😹

I saw Buddy (OC) the other day. He either got out or was let out. We caught up on scritches and body snakes. He looks different somehow. Maybe older. How young was he when we met last year? Maybe thinner. Probably thinner. He isn't being fed by all the generous neighbors believing his stray act. I wasn't entirely sure he was the same cat until I got up to leave. He followed me to my front door and then snaked around me waiting for the door to open. He still does not like the gentle foot to keep him back. I recognize that hiss. 😾😹 "I'm sorry, Buddy. But this isn't your home and you're not homeless." I haven't seen him since. I imagine that was a one-time escapade. Until next time...
