My cat doesn't like high quality wet food

I think you should listen to Musiaka’s reactions more for what is better for her. Like just because a food is “high premium” doesn’t mean it’s good for all cats. My own cat has a sensitive stomach and currently some liver issues and a lot of high premium wet foods are bad for her. Some are too greasy, some just don’t sit well.


That may not be because it’s “grocery store” necessarily. Some cats react to chunky wet foods for example but do fine with pate texture.

If you have Purina Gourmet Gold wet foods, their pate ones are very similar to Fancy Feast.

Musiaka had liver issues in the springtime as well, after being put on a anti-diabetic diet that contained kibble only :/ I was stupid to listen to the vet.
Pate texture does indeed seem to sit better with Musiaka. He seems to enjoy the ones from Naturo

Wow never mind the title! Musiaka absolutely loved Animonda's Vom Feinstein Turkey Hearts! It's a first time I see him eat a meaty canned food that even has organ bits in it. He keeps on begging for it. However he's been making those gulping sounds after eating it, so I wonder how he will tolerate this texture as it was quite chunky.

Yep, the turkey hearts are a fave of my two as well. I break up the pate by mashing it with a fork.
My guys also love the chicken with chicken liver Vom FeinStein.

He didn't regurgitate, luckily (although he looks a bit like his stomach is upset). Gives me hope he might consider eating foods that are more ibd friendly

I just wish that there was no chicken added to the Turkey Hearts as I would like to try to exclude chicken from his diet and see if it's an allergen for Musiaka

In the Vom Feinstein range there is a pure turkey tray, which I believe is only turkey.

After happily eating a lot of Turkey hearts yesterday and some during the night, Musiaka hasn't been eating much afterwards. He didn't regurgitate or vomit, but no interest in any food today anymore. The Turkey hearts doesn't interest him today, nor do other foods. Maybe it's too heavy for his sensitive stomach

Can you try the pure turkey also by Animonda? If you can get Miamor where you are, they have sensitive digestion trays.

I just checked the Miamor mild meals have poultry, so that likely includes chicken.
Almo Nature do sensitive digestion food, they have a white fish and a turkey in the range but not sure if chicken may be present in those flavor tins.

Yes, he does seem to like some variety... I do not see pure turkey by Animonda available here unfortunately, but I had a can of beef, turkey and rabbit by Animonda Carny and it was miss for Musiaka. Didn't touch it, didn't even sniff at it. The entire can will have to be fed to the strays!
I lost my patience yesterday, went and bought Purina's Gourmet Melting Hearts at the local grocery store. So far so good, he eats it right up and asks for more. I can see why he likes it, looks delicious. But knowing how Musiaka is nowadays, he might get tired of it in a couple of days...

Only one of my two likes the Animonda Carny in the tins.

Vom Feinsten has a wide range and there are several without chicken, if you are trying to avoid chicken:

Turkey with trout and turkey with rabbit, those are two you might want to try.

If your guy likes the soft texture, look Into Almo Nature mousse in the little tins or they also have trays. They have soft tins for digestive help in white fish or turkey.

I feed a different food each meal but if you switch your food by the day that would still give more variety. Turkey hearts one day Animonda rabbit mousse the next, for example.
