OK, everybody...fingers crossed in the morning. I have to check in to the hospital at 6:30, and will be having my ablation (we hope) sometime after that. IF there are no clots in my heart, they'll do the ablation. If there are, they will continue with the blood thinners for a couple more weeks, then try again. I'd like to get this over with. May not be here tomorrow, but will try to check in!

I have a tendency to be impulsive. I also have a tendency to be productive late at night. So I decided at 11:00 that I was going to rearrange the furniture in my bedroom completely.

I’ve been working on it the past four hours, and even though I thought I was going to regret it (I had absolutely no plan for what I was going to do, I just went for it!) I actually am pretty pleased with how it turned out- Usually my spontaneity ends up in something that I regret doing. Plus I needed to clean my room anyway

I got rid of a ton of trash and junk that I didn’t need and it feels so nice to have a clean, not cluttery room!

I got impulsive the other day, too! I decided to clean under the couch. It was frightening.

I don't think I've pulled the couch out since Christmas.

But I found my driver's license! And the credit card that I finally canceled months ago. I knew they were together somewhere! And to think, I was just about to bite the bullet and go to the dmv for a replacement.

I used to do that every summer when I was a teenager. I'd spend all night deep cleaning my closet and everything else. I reaaaallly need to do that now.

I just got an EOB from our health insurance for DS's last well visit. It gave me an estimated patient responsiblily of.... drum roll..... $.01!! :flail:

I wonder if I can pay in cash? :flail:

Pediatric well visits are usually "free" to us with our insurance. the $.01 is for medical supplies and I've never seen that on a bill before. I think in this case it's going to cost them to send me a bill. So maybe I'll never see one. But hey it applies to our annual major deductable!

That makes the $0.57 bills I'd get from my midwife's office look like a fortune.

Also, I was laying next to my daughter earlier, and she turns her head and chomps down on my nose. Then tuns away and gnaws down on it again.

I'm starting to suspect she may be teething. She's been kind of cranky lately, too, but idk if she's just bored or frustrated she can't move as well as she wants to.

Oh I guess it is about time teeth can start coming in. Or maybe they just start pacticing chewing to get ready for it. I was just looking at pictures of DD with Sophie the Giraffe and their birthdays are fairly close so it would make sense to me. Off the top of my head I don't remember exactly when her first tooth came in though. I think it took a while; but she got into gumming on things way before then.

I spent three hours today with my dementia auntie who is in her mid 80’s and lives alone. The doctors haven’t said specifically the kind of dementia she has, only that her brain has shrunk to half its normal size. She doesn’t have memory issues as much as an inability to comprehend how even simple things work. I try to get over there every few weeks at least make sure her bills are paid and help her with whatever needs doing. Between the dementia, compulsive buying and her hoarding we spend hours sometimes looking for a single thing. Today though I was able to convince her to let me help her in bedroom which was so full of stuff that all that remained of open floor was the tiniest path to her bed. I pulled enough empty boxes, bags and useless papers out of her room to fill a trash pick up container. We probably have at least another couple more sessions to clear the room but when I left she could now safely get to her bed and closets. For me it was satisfying work and I felt much better about leaving than on previous trips when we seemed to just be shuffling things around.

We have a Sophie Giraffe, but love the mömbella mushroom more. Both my husband and I supposedly got our first teeth somewhere in the six month range, so I feel like it's possible it could be happening, though it's so hard to tell.
