Hello all, i thought that I would seek some advice or see if anyone is/has been in the same situation. I am looking after a male cat that was once a stray. He used to be incredibly nervious and shy but is now loveable and cuddly all the time. He's always had a big appetite and could go through 4 packets of wet food a day easily. However, he vomited 3 days ago and since then has not been eating properly at all. He acts starving by meowing at me, walking around the food bowls and swiping my hands if i take his bowl away. However, if i put any type of food in front of him, he smells it and then just looks at me. I managed to get him to have a few licks of gravy but that's it. He also smelt some the other day and gagged as if he was going to be sick, but wasn't sick in the end.
So yesterday i took him to the vet. They did a full checkup and said that he is healthy, a good weight, good colour, no teeth issues and they couldn't really explain what it is that's making him not eat. They gave him a anti-sickness injection and then an appetite tablet as well. A couple hours later he ate his way through a whole packet of food! Which was great. But the next morning (today) he's back to his same ways and not interested in food, just smells it and then walks away. What should i do?
