I'm thinking it might be a circulation issue, and when I sit around the pain comes back.
Yes, I get really stiff and uncomfortable if I have to sit still for too long.

I've had a pretty good week so far. An hour of yoga and an hour walk on Saturday and Sunday, 90 minutes of yoga and a 45 minute walk yesterday. Today I got up early and started off with some nice gentle yoga, then walked for just over 90 minutes. Kind of cold and drizzly today, but there were a lot of deer about.

I had a long walk on Wednesday and Thursday. According to the Japanese meteorological agency rainy season is starting early this year. The monsoon has already begun in the south, so we'll be getting a lot of very wet days soon. Better get all my outdoor time in while I can.

I've been doing yoga for your core and yoga arm balances this week too.

Gave myself a bit of a break yesterday. Just 30 minutes yoga, then a trip to the supermarket for wine and some new bubble bath. I deserved it.

Decided to go for a walk yesterday, however, it was warmer than I expected, and I was over-dressed, so it ended up being a short walk.

However, once I was back home, spent time weeding gardens and moving perennials. So lots of fresh air, and some exercise.

Wish me luck. I am doing a 5 day detox (green drinks and eating simple and healthy, as well as taking supplements like Milk Thistle which is good for the liver.) After that, I am on my diet.

I did my strength training for arms and legs today. I also spent some time on the thread mill. I need to be more diligent about getting my walks in everyday. I haven't been focused about that. I will be cracking down on that starting on Monday.

Hope everyone is doing well. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.🙂

Good luck Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose with the detox, and getting back into regular walks again. 🤗
Thank you. I am getting good results from all the Strength training and Ab work I have been doing, but ofcourse I still need to lose the weight. My insomia has been a huge obstacle in the way. I am tired off putting this off. I am just going to move forward and figure things out along the way. Progress, not perfection as they say.

Hope you are having a good day. Hope your garden turns out well. Also that you get more walks in. Take care. 🙂

Good luck with your detox Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose I've done yoga detox fasts before. I found drinking lots of hot water, like if you are making yourself a cup of tea but not using any tea bags, helps to get you through it.

Well, the monsoon cometh.

I may end up going out for a walk when it eases up a little, but I haven't been out all weekend. Two 1 hour yoga practices on Saturday. One for your core, one practicing arm balances. 90 minutes yoga with a little bit of everything yesterday.

Thank you. Today didn't go as plan I had to cancel out my HIIT exercise and just do Ab work and walking due to my insomia. I still moved ahead with the detox. No coffee, but Matcha tea in it's place. Hopefully I will sleep better tonight. I see you do a lot of Yoga. I am going to look into yoga for weightloss and see when l should add it to my schedule. Core strengthening is so important. So is working on your balance and flexibility. Keep it going.

I heard about drinking warm water from a friend who came originally from China. She said it was good for your health. I will look into it.

I hope you are not badly affected by the Monsoon coming. Stay safe.

I need to get motivated to build lower body strength. I'm also terrible at cardio. I used to hike and bike, but my job schedule has gotten me too lazy. I'm from a family of marathoners and pro athletes. Although I climb towers and I consider myself as strong, I'm still the black sheep of the family when it comes to fitness dedication.
Anyone work 75+ hours a week who can offer some motivation and time management tips to help me work in a few lifts a week? I don't have kids, but I feel like moms don't have any free time so please reply if you're a mom and have advice on workout time management

Not a mom, but perhaps I can offer a little advice. There are ways you can incorporate exercize into your day to day routine, even if you are on a very tight time schedule. Little things like taking the stairs instead of elevators, parkibg further away from your job and walk to work. Stand more, instead of sitting down. On your break perhaps you can do stair walking or running or go out for brisk walks. I read doing cardio as little as 15 minutes is beneficial to your heart health.

Perhaps you can ride your bike to work instead of driving or taking public transportation. If you are able to watch TV, then could you use that time to do exercises (sit ups, squats, lunges, etc). Could you get up earlier in the morning and go for a run or just go on the threadmill or stationary bike for 15 minutes or so. Maybe you can look at some of those portable exercise items that you see on TV to keep you moving. My friend who is super busy brings a portable stepper with her and when she finds 10 or 15 mins, she closes the door to her office and does her exercise.

Just putting some ideas out there. I hope you find it helpful. Best of luck.🙂

These are all really good ideas. Thank you. I should have elaborated on my job a little. I work on wind turbines. Due to the equipment and tooling I load and unload from my work truck daily, I cannot bike. Breaks- if I get them- are usually scarfing food up tower or in my truck on the way to the next tower. I do already "take the stairs"- a 400ft ladder. I really could get up before 430am just to do some squats though. I should have more time to do them after work. It would cut into my time walking my kitty, and I've definitely used that as an excuse for too long. Again, I really appreciate all of the ideas, and I hope others will be able to utilize them more.

I need to get back to my 2 hour daily walks & 1 hour stretching exercises. I'm going to start a day early, on Sunday, then do 5 weeks. Then re-access if I want to keep doing the 1 hour stretches. I'm really getting my heart rate up on my walks, by walking faster, so that might be enough and I can cut out the stretching? We'll see. Can't wait to get back on track!

I decided to wait until Monday to start my workout. Might as well make it an even 5 weeks. Gotta get my 2 vaccines this month too. I hope it doesn't land me in bed. My brother got really sick for 2 days. I can't be sick, I got exercising to do!
When restart your exercise program, you are better off starting slowly and gradually working your way back to your usual program. Less pain and potential for injuries that way.

Good advice. I started slowly with the weights until I moved up on the pounds. Better to take it slow and be safe, than to be sorry.

Right. Til COVID hit I went to the same gym every other day for five years. Every January newcomers would show up and work out way too hard. You could almost spot the ones that would drop out in a few weeks because it was too hard and was making them too sore.

Yeah, my doctor thinks a 2 hour walk is a bit long. But she doesn't realize, I don't get much exercise around here because I can't do much housework, because of my mother. I can't talk too much about my mother with my doctor though, because it upsets her. They want me out of here.

Back on my schedule tomorrow! Taking a break for today.

Those people probably wanted quick results and were really pushing it. They should know that weight loss, building muscle and improving one's physique doesn't come overnight. These people have unrealistic expectations. They also don't understand their limitations. I feel sorry for them.
