One kitten not gaining as much as brothers

I wasn't sure whether to start a new thread about this (it's not about kittens nor pregnant cats) or not, but since it has to do with this particular momma cat, I figure keeping it here would be best.

Ok, so momma cat aka Bronia started going into heat...ehh, AT LEAST 3 weeks ago, probably closer to a month though. It was a gradual thing, with symptoms getting more intense every few days until they peaked for a week then stopped. I haven't been around a female in heat in a very long time as I am SPAY CrAzY (as many of us are in the kitten rescue business) so this was almost new to me.
The posturing and chirping stopped about a week ago. I have an appointment on Friday to get her vaccinated and to set up a spay date.

I have been, obviously, keeping her inside except for a few harnessed walks around the house. I live on land partially owned by a wildlife refuge and since its pretty wild here there are no intact toms around, no stray cats period. But there is a neutered barn cat named Cutie.

Anyway, long story short, Cutie came to visit me unexpectedly on my back porch as he sometimes does, Bronia saw him through the cracked door and ....whooooosh...she was out, claws and fur flying.

I caught her within 30 seconds, all cats involved were fine (except Cutie's hurt feelings, he is a VERY friendly cat to everyone) but Bronia went back into heat IMMEDIATELY. And HARD.....she has been going NON STOP since. Trying to bolt outdoors, yowling at 3 am, pulling my blinds down to get to a window. I mean, it's CRAZY. She has come up with some crazy maneuvers to get out...but the few times she has she just starts doing the posture right out the door so she is easy to catch.

Cutie is definitely not intact, I made the appointment for his surgery myself.
So just SEEING a male cat threw her back into heat?!?!
What does this mean? Am I preparing myself for another 3 weeks of this?
No wonder we have SO MANY HOMELESS CATS!
Female cats are essentially in perpetual heat until they get pregnant if all it takes is to see a male cat.

Is there anything I can do for her?
Does anybody have a magical cure?
I've tried to tire her out with play but that only lasts for short periods of time.
I can't imagine she's comfortable.
And I barely got 4 hours of sleep...my cottage isn't very big and even with closed doors I can hear her yowling.

Ugh, cats in heat are the worst. Your best bet is to get a spay appointment ASAP to put an end to this. She must surely be in utter misery.

Call the vet office today to get set up. Don’t wait until you go in on Friday. Call around if you need to in order to get the soonest appointment possible.

I know of no solution other than to spay, unless she lives on a mild sedative until her spay appointment. Ask the vet office about that option. It’s not ideal, but would be short-term and would calm her behavior. You might be able to pick up meds for her today.

In Europe you could always try with The Pill. Its no good long term solutions, but doable for buying you time, even a year.

But as I understand, in USA The Pill isnt used (even forbidden?).... You could try with a mild sedative, as mentioned.
Perhaps an antihistamine for allergics?? for example, Lergigan. These are sometimes used as mild calming drugs, - also on cats, as I remember it.

Consult your vet, they will give advice and suggest a suitable dosage.

You could also try with Feliway. Even if this is not what Feliway is supposed to be for.
