You should definitely meet outdoors for ice cream and it will be something positive to look forward to. I think socialization is so important especially after so many people have been isolated during the pandemic.
Yea, he definitely knows me and said there is a nearby park we can hang and eat the ice cream. Not sure how I will feel about walking in, and not sure if you have to order and pay inside or if they have a window to stay outside, but I'm sure my friend would bring something out for me if I asked if I wasn't comfortable going in. He's been going to stores and that's fine for him. For sure! That one day I was with him having a picnic outside and then learning to change my oil was so nice. Looking forward to more time in person with friends, outdoors and with other precautions, once vaccinated. Socialization is so important and has a different feel being able to be in person. :)

I went to my son's for a little while today so I could identify some plants in his yard for him. He has a huge section of catnip! My cats have been insane since I got home.

Hobbit Baby had fun with the thousands and thousands of dandelion seed heads in the yard. My phone was nearly dead, so my son said that they would wait to mow some of it so I could bring Hobbit back and get more pictures and videos. I hope the weather is better tomorrow! I still got some extremely cute pictures! He did throw a wee bit of a fit when I put him back in the car. Poor Sweetheart!

My positive this year is that I’ve gotten Juli’s health—specifically her weight and her immunizations up to snuff.

For a few years following her adoption, she gained a few pounds. A couple of years ago, I began her diet and slowly she shed the weight. She’s pretty much less than a pound away from her original weight!

Since moving to the west coast, I fell behind with her vaccinations for a few years. But recently I got her all up to date with her shots!

I found an really awesome feline veterinarian clinic, one that my sis swears by, and made an appointment for Juli’s wellness exam!

I want Juli to live a long, healthy, and happy life. I’m going to make it a point to be as present and on top of her health as possible from here on out!

Is he wearing suspenders or is that the pattern of his shirt?
Those are suspenders! He had a very serious face in most of the pictures because he likes to watch cars and trucks. There is road construction by their house right now, so there were plenty of both! He was also watching my son and his friend fish in the pond. My son caught one and showed it to him while I was in the bathroom. He took a picture of the fish, but not of Hobbit being excited about the fish. (He lets the fish go after he catches them.) Does anyone know what kind it is?

I could be wrong, but that looks like a perch. Maybe a white perch.

I'm getting the full amount of the newest stimulus payment (separate thread on that topic) :yess: I'm not sure what I'll use the money for. I do need a new mattress and $1400 should be more than enough

Edit: I blame post-vaccine confusion for the IRS letter I received and a poorly written online article I read. I already got my third stimulus payment on March 25.

JulietteTruong JulietteTruong She is gorgeous!!!
Elphaba09 Elphaba09 Hobbit is such a doll!!

Chilly and rainy here lately so I watched a few movies.

The whole gang was here for brekkie this morning. Connie, Roberto, Willie, and Rebel. Cal was out for over an hour so I think she and Rebel met up💞. Connie is such a big eater. I think he gets what he can while he can. That much food at one time is a lot.

Ah, the same thing happened to me! Just received a letter in the last week and thought.... are we getting another?? I would have thought I would have heard others talking about it or something, but maybe? Then I looked closer and saw it mentioned the payments were from March.

Chillier day today and will be enjoying curling up in blankets today.

I got that same letter and it was so confusing!!!

My positive is I used up most of my chips stash finally, so I can go back to crackers soon. I think I really prefer crackers over chips, they are just so salty.

Trying to stay active today to work out some stress. Last year I picked up a hand cart that has wheels designed to haul groceries easily up and down stairs. I thought maybe with some modification I could use it to haul 40 pound bags of salt into the house and down to the basement. It’s pretty much a once a year task that was overdue. I can lift the bags enough to get them in and out of the car but they are just too heavy for me carry them. Added some boards this morning to strengthen the cart and it worked wonderfully. it only took a few minutes and not a huge amount of energy to get two forty pound bags from the car to the softener in the basement.
i would suggest getting a male relative or neighbor to help you with that. to easy to throw your back out or take a bad fall down the stairs.you shouldnt be taking chances like that
